Good to know that the Firefly is supported... but a shame about the Blackwidow TE. It seems a bit silly to use Synapse 2 and 3 simultaneously, but I guess they will eventually add more legacy products to Synapse 3?

Will Blackwidow X Te be supported by Synapse 3 in the future? Since I saw BWX listed on the list. Or is there any mechanic(parts) difference between old BWX with recently released three colors options one?

Devs responded to this one already 😛.

Apparently both of those keyboards have different mechanics involved when it comes to the drivers and such, and they still need to re write the code for both of those keyboards so they can work.

The next update is said to be more mouse based and that is said to come out later this quarter of the year I think, so there are more and more products being added and tested all the time, but they try to iron all the bugs out before they put those products to the new software.

there is a upgrade kit for 2 more strips .. if you need more than 4 in total, you have to buy another kit
Is it possible to have 2? Thanks to zSilver I have two connected, but Synapse only sees one.
Anyone know if there's a way to have the strips shut off with your PC without impacting the brightness?

What do you mean? Maybe you try to change profiles or something? My brightness stays the same after I shut down and restart my PC.

Before shutting off my machine I went into the synapse software and shutoff the brightness setting then shut off my computer and this seemed to do the trick for me! I have mine connected through usb and mains power with outlet adapter! Hope this helps!!!!

Still a bit inconvenient to have to go and turn it off each time though, kinda easier just to unplug it

Whenever I turn off my PC, the strips stay on (if I have both the micro usb -> usb and DC -> usb plugged into my computer) but if I only have the micro usb -> usb plugged in to my computer, the strips will shut off with my computer but the lights aren't as bright

Responded too you standalone thread, but you never mentioned how bright they are plugged into the PC in that one. I use the wall block for mine, how much brighter are they? I thought this was as bright as they would get but I might be wrong.

Might not make a difference but I use a different Micro USB cable, the one Razer included with it was not long enough for where I have it put, this other cord works just fine though (Or at least it seems too).
RGB all the things!

You can actually plug both USBs into your PC, instead of using the power adapter. You'll achieve the same brightness as if you were using the adapter. The strips wont turn off with your PC, however.
my hdk lights wont go off when i shut down my pc for some reason

had to go in synapse to off it everytime. sometimes i forgot and the lights stayed on whole night
Dear Razer,

i just bought the light kit and why it doesn't include " usb a to usb motherboard 4-pins header" it will make cable
management possible without cutting the case or finding way to rout the usb cable outside.

this will clean up the cable management for mounting inside the case..

Does anyone know if I am able to use 2 HDKs on one PC.

I currently have an HDK setup as bias lighting under my desk, and behind my monitor, and I would like to buy a second HDK to add inside my case to add some seamless RGB.

Thanks in advance

on the site itself razer,

"Can I have two(2) of the same products configured separately on Synapse 3?
No. If two(2) of the same product is connected concurrently, Synapse 3 will only allow configuration for the first detected product.

*This is the same behavior as Synapse 2.0."

so NOOOO
I'm getting is one red flashing light on each LED strip when i plug in to power outlet? Usb cable works fine.
anyone try out a other LED cable to add on the HDK ?
Yes it’s called a dev kit but then again how easy is it to get an apple dev account?

Question

I have a project in mind, involving HDK, where I'd have a custom effect on the LED strips. Specifically - they would light up as an animation for the Speech Synthesis audio level, and other strips would light up according to the hardware temperatures. The strips have 16 LEDs and as far as I know from some another place, the weird custom plug has been used to "Allow independent access to each LED on the strip". So my question is.. How the hell do I do that?

The SDK only lets me select ChromaLink[1-5]. You'd think that you have to apply a custom effect to a particular CL for it to work, but CustomEffect doesn't seem to let you address individual LEDs either. So what's the point of being able to access each LED independently if you.. well.. can't access each LED independently? And why is Razer's own device implemented the same way as 3rd party devices (through ChromaLink)? I really hope this was some sort of overlook on their part and the SDK will get updated. Or maybe I'm just dumb and I don't see the way to do it, which is also possible.

Honestly, what I've expected from the SDK, was a function that would allow me to set the exact color AND brightness for each individual LED, because that's exactly what the built-in effects seem to be doing (Starlight for example)

Nobody will know, you're supposed to wait until it's in stock to get your voucher.
How can a piece of hardware be out of stock at Razer, but not at retailers

Funny thing, I ordered my HDK right before it was out of stock. Still 75k zsilver on my account so waiting for that restock too 😃
