Been seeing a ton of positive feedback and loads of complaints on Paid to Play.

I realize a lot of the complaints come from demands that we should raise the cap. In short we won't be raising the cap on P2P though we may add new ways of earning Razer Silver.

With that in mind, i doubt we will stop hearing the complaints - what do you guys think? Should we shut down all the free ways of earning Razer Silver and just go back to the standard - buy stuff and get loyalty points (like every other company) or should we continue to find free ways to give loyalty points (and get a ton of complaints?)

What do you guys think?

No offense, but I genuinely think that people couldn't make use of such negligible amount of zsilver.

None taken. It's forum, so it's meant that we discuss this and many other topics :smile_:

50 from playing games of their choice, while we previously get similar amount (40 silver) just by clicking daily reward button while having another program which was P2P, so we had two programs. Now they shut down the login reward, and made it into P2P program. If anything they only make it harder to earn the same thing, which was the daily reward. My problem is that razer is doing this by the pretense of "We want to reward our fans with this program", but at the same time not allowing the program to give anything of significance. I just don't like that idea of false pretense and goodwill, while in fact all I get is an empty hand. I'm sure most people don't use the program as well for the very same reason, they just couldn't get anything out of it. So a question could be raised, "what's the point"?

I think that we all should change our mindset: the past P2P was something extraordinery that was too good to be true, while we all took it for granted. I can't find any other example of a successful company that gives their products for free (ok, for playing games, but we all know that you could basically be AFK). To be honest, I think that was just a matter of time when would this program be revoked, because this was nothing but a loss for Razer (yes, there was a marketing thing, but I believe it was alltogether too expensive, specially when you take AFK farmers in consideration).

Like many others said in post before this, Min said multiple times that he is changing P2P program to an auxiliary way for gathering zSilver (along with Softminer), and definitely not the main way anymore.

Was I said when the initial P2P program was shut down? Yes, I was. But I accepted that, and moved on.

more specifically esports elite part.
i've personally gained so much gear just from the points earned that i don't really need much else.

You're right, i forgot to specify.

Those who share your tought don't understand that this beloved system is dead, P2P isn't the major way to get silvers.
You can't earn almost 1000 a day anymore. Or not so easily with a constant amount daily.

It has been clearly said that the main silver source is now Mogul Arena.
And with good judgement you can even get more that P2P ever allowed you (one week i won 100k).

It's obvious that Razer wants to make silvers as an active reward and not a an automatic gain.
Before you just had to do a few clicks to get yours (open cortex, daily rewards, launch game, exit game).
Now it requires more personnal implication to vote on Mogul, launch P2P on mobile and PC, switch on Softminer (if your GPU has enough power that is) and be active on Insider.

the point is that p2p is not the only method to gain silvers! lol

it was reiterated many times by minltan that what they are doing is creating an ecosystem of many free methods for fans to gain silvers. it was never meant to just gain silvers from p2p.

I don't understand the people like you: you don't like it, so let's shut it down for everyone else.
To be clear; I don't use P2P, but I definitely don't want to be shut down anyone because I know that there are lots of people who still use this program.
If you don't like it, just don't use it. Nobody forces you to do so.

I agree, just shut it down, razer. It seems clear to me that you don't want us to be able to redeem anything from the p2p program with such negligible amount of zsilver. From my perspective, you just change the daily sign in bonus into a "10 minutes of playing the game of our choice" to earn that very same silver. Just admit it, and shut it down. It's fine if you don't want to give us anything, just stop pretending.

It might soung greedy from me but i must admit that without the Zsilvers program, i'd never been able to have all those Razer products.

You make it sound like you received a ton of products from the P2P program alone.
Hermanator
Then I suggest you try to use it now like I did.

I just gave up, they had a good thing going. It is a shame cause their products are nice, the war buds i got were comfy.....shame they stopped working not even a year in.
nononononononononono plz keep paid to play!
To all you people who are complaining, STOP IT YOU UNGRATEFUL BA******
Userlevel 7
Sadly, wathever the choice you'll make for P2P, it'll bring complains.
I too was unhappy when i learned that P2P was going to stop the first time.
But i was new to Insider and it took me some time to understand what justified this decision.

I miss the previous P2P system for the silver ratio.
And by this time i thought that having a Razer device plugged to your PC and linked to your account was required to use it, while others had multi accounts and for a minor price of 10 bucks completely ruined what was a great community program.

Like allways, it's easier to complain about something than praise it.
And when you make something with a diligent heart, the tiny part (compare to the whole users/custommers) of people who shows their grief leaves some perpetual scars.

But please, try to be stronger that this grumbling crowd.
You must have statictic proving that P2P is still a success.

It might soung greedy from me but i must admit that without the Zsilvers program, i'd never been able to have all those Razer products.
But thanks to this i also promote this brand to my entourage.

Thanks Razer for the devices that you make, they're durable (not so children tooth proof but nothing seems to be:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_:) and have a good aspect.
Thanks for the community that you made who allways answer (at least to me) when a problem happens.
And lastly, thanks for your fidelity program that made me want to discover more of your brand.

Hope that i wasn't too much of a pain to read this.

I would just shut it down, can't really earn anything anymore. I lost 30,000 silver on January 1st and today on February 1st i lost another 30,000. I am sure come March 1st i will lost the last 30,000 i got left. Then earning 50 a day, just does not seem worth it. I think it was fine the way it was before.

Then I suggest you try to use it now like I did.

Of course earning zsilver for free takes longer. There is no reason to be greedy. Otherwise it would be unfair to those who use gold. Don't stop it please.

I got this evil idea of blocking off those who complain senselessly about the P2P program. It can be considered as spam perhaps.
mltan
Yes we are considering it and going back to the standard way of just rewarding our customers when they purchase products (like every other company out there). I realize that when there are free ways, it creates a lot of complaints.

You guys nailed cortex on mobile!! Finally something we can explore games that aren't garbage slots!
mltan
We might do that in the future.

Nice! Can't wait for RazerPay launch in SG

Been seeing a ton of positive feedback and loads of complaints on Paid to Play.

I realize a lot of the complaints come from demands that we should raise the cap. In short we won't be raising the cap on P2P though we may add new ways of earning Razer Silver.

Should we shut down all the free ways of earning Razer Silver and just go back to the standard - buy stuff and get loyalty points (like every other company) or should we continue to find free ways to give loyalty points (and get a ton of complaints?)

Honestly, I don't think there is anything that can really be done to stop the complaints. I'm actually not even sure where the complaints are coming from since all I've been seeing are praises regarding Paid to Play but what I do notice is that there are a lot of people lurking around Insider and Reddit that just hates on whatever Razer does without bringing anything constructive (not sure myself why they go out of their way to post in Razer threads and forums). Rather than focusing on people that complain about promotions (they aren't likely your audience), the focus should be about the current audience who actually appreciates what Razer does.

From what I gather spending a lot of time in Insider and Reddit, I believe most of the people hating are those who are unhappy with the products. My recommendation to actually help bring positive feedback to the brand name is to:

  • Improve quality control (even if you say it's top notch, it doesn't hurt to improve).
  • Increase the quality of software.
  • Give better warranty.
  • Be aggressive with competition, especially on the price of products.
  • Continue to create promotions such as Paid to Play to keep true audience happy.
  • Interact with your audience more, people like it when you post 😆.

These are my observations in my time reading through Insider and Reddit. If there is another constructive feedback I would like to give regarding the current Paid to Play is that the previous version of Paid to Play where we were able to vote for games and receive more Silver was superior so people tend to draw comparisons while forgetting that the promotion is a giveaway that doesn't really benefit the company aside from positive PR.

First of all, THANKS FOR BRINGING BACK THE PAID TO PLAY <3
This system used to be giving me some motivation to try out different game and I had found out tons of new game to play !!
Also, I get a chance to win some cool prizes just for playing those games !!

Ain't sure why many complaint here and there, but I have a little concern about the silver system currently...
Is it possible to extend the expiry date to 2 years rather than 1 year ? Its kinda hard to utilize the point with such short expiry date, as I don't usually get much silver other than Paid to Play

Just a little concern, hope it will reach to your consideration.

Thanks once again XD

Free is better! We want the old list back where we can earn zSilver! (CSGO, Fortnite, Minecraft etc.)

Please don't remove the P2P program, I'm a loyal user of Razer, I've bought plenty of razer gear and never have been able to get any loyalty points. Bought the Razer Nari on Day 1, no points received with it. I also don't buy games a lot so i don't really earn in that way either. The P2P, the new softminer, and being on the forums is the only viable way for me.

@mltan

THIS

Put an end to the negativity, and go the standard route/loyalty points route. The ones who demanded free stuff will go away, and the ones loyal to the brand will stick around.

Side note, I spent $50 the other day at Sears ... thanks for reminding me, they gave me $25 rewards dollars via a promo on Green Monday, which I have to use on some sweet tools today before it expires.

As somebody who has made every attempt to be a part of every single part of the razer ecosystem I have opted out of participating in the miner software. This is the first time I've not been excited, and frankly been a little disappointed, by something razer has made. To only be disappointed by a company once in a lifetime is pretty lucky imo so I'm not burning my razer collection or anything yet but I do think it is bizarre that I can't buy Razer stuff with zGold and I dont earn any of Razer's currency by participating in the most important part of the Razer ecosystem (buying razer hardware). Plus I'm absolutely sick of all the complaining from plebs that are mad that they cant have free stuff shipped to them and all that nonsense that I'm sure you hear way more about.
