Razer Cortex Power Plan & Boost Default Settings

Great_Iskander

Dear Razer Community,

I have inadvertently deleted the Razer Cortex Power Plan. How can I restore it?

As a side effect, for example, the Enable CPU Core option under Game Boost no longer functions and is greyed out.

I would also like to reset the Razer Cortex Game Boost & System Boost to their Default Settings.

Repairing the installation or performing a complete Uninstall & Install for Razer Cortex did not solve any of these issues.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Cheers,

Great_Iskander

Dear Great_Iskander,

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us here. My name is Michelle, and I’m part of the Razer Cortex technical support team.

You can launch Razer Cortex and go to the GAME BOOSTER > BOOST > Specials to “Enable game power solutions” to restore it.

At the same place, you can “Enable CPU Core” by selecting it.

For SYSTEM BOOSTER concern, please click “Customize system clean” and “Recommended Settings” to make it as the Default Setting.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you need assistance in the future.

Are the different Configuration Files stored in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Razer Cortex\BoostSettings” no longer used to control these options? Is it still possible to modify these options via Configuration Files?

Can I at least Import my Previous Settings from these Configuration Files, instead of Manually fine-tuning them in the User Interface?

Hey there!

It is stored here C:\ProgramData\Razer\RazerCortex\[Razer GUID]\GameBoostCostomSetting. However, we do not recommend doing so as doing this will easily make it a mess.

Dear Michelle,

Thank you for your quick reply !

The Razer Cortex Power Plan was correctly restored.

Are the two “Enable game power solutions” and “Enable CPU Core” options part of the Game Booster Recommended Settings?

Dear Great_Iskander,

Enable CPU Core is not the recommended setting, but the Enable game power solutions is in the list. You can check the screenshot below:
