Hello,



I'm currently experiencing an issue with my Razer's touchpad. It does not respond at all. I've reinstalled Windows, tried a Linux Live CD, and a Windows PE disk.



On Windows I have an item in the device manager called, I2C HID Device, it's getting a Code 10 with the following error:



This device cannot start. (Code 10)



A request for the HID descriptor failed.



and under events:



Device ACPI\\15320205\\4&29b3f76b&0 had a problem starting.



Driver Name: hidi2c.inf

Class Guid: {745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da}

Service: hidi2c

Lower Filters:

Upper Filters: mshidkmdf

Problem: 0xA

Problem Status: 0xC000009E



I attempted to update the BIOS however the BIOS update for the 6500U machine says it's incompatible with my device despite having the 6500U.



Really at a loss here and I'm unsure how to proceed. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions I can try?

Thanks for the reply. Have you tried reinstalling the touchpad drivers using the one found in this link? If you haven't, please do and let me know how it goes.

Alright I tried reinstalling them. No dice, touchpad still isn't responding.



I2C HID Device still has an examination point on it.

Haven't heard back from RedPanda. Does anyone else have any ideas of things I can try?
