Hello Team,

Currently experiencing a ‘A driver cannot load on this device' message on a Blade 18 2023 model when trying to update the latest firmware : https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9676/kw/At%20a%20Glance:%20blade

Being prompted with 'A driver cannot load on this device' message to turn off core isolation https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/core-isolation-e30ed737-17d8-42f3-a2a9-87521df09b78

and when turned off get the same 'A driver cannot load on this device' message but with this : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/application-security/application-control/app-control-for-business/design/microsoft-recommended-driver-block-rules

Looking at the event viewer its saying the same thing 'service failed to start due to the following error: A certificate was explicitly revoked by its issuer.'

Is anyone able to assist ?

Apparently its a known issue and is being investigated but work around was as follows :

  1. go to setting > Open Core Isolation

  2. Disable Memory Integrity and reboot system

  3. After reboot repeat step 1 and Disable Vulnerable Driver Blocklist

  4. Go to setting > Recovery > Advanced Startup and select Restart now

  5. In the Recovery Mode screen, select Troubleshoot > advance options > Startup settings and restarts

  6. Select Disable driver signature enforcement (F7)

Install the firmware updates

Reboot

Note: Turn on all the security options again from step 1 to step 6 again.
