Hi,
I had been using the manticor mat for about 8 years, and was very satisfied with the product. I have also used the naga hex and following versions (although I alway prefered the original) for years also.
About 2 weeks ago, I decided to change my mat, and also got a brand new naga trinity to go with it. As I really like the light glide, I decided to get an acari mat. I must say the original feeling was overwhelming, and exactly what I was looking for. However, in about one week, the glide was disappearing on the center of the mat (place where it was most used) while keeping the original feel on the places less used. This is only getting worse. After a little search of the internet, I found that is seems that the Acari is unusable without changing to ceramic mouse skates, since its coating seems to get clogged by regular mice skates. I tried washing it with water and microfiber (as indicated by Razer), to no avail. Also tried alcohool : didn't change anything.
I am extremely disapointed by what seems to me to be a flawed design, since this supposedly top-tier mat is not compatible with out of the box razer mice.
So my question is, how is this mat supposed to be used, is it possible to get the initial glide back by washing it with a detergent of some kind, and if not, what mouse pad would you suggest that has the best glide. An aluminium mat like the manticor would also be fine. Or any fast, hard mat.
Thanks
