Can I use Nvidia Gsync with an external monitor on my Razer Blade 15 (2020) Base Model?

I want to get the Razer Raptor 27 inch monitor to hook up to my Razer Blade 15 (2020) Base Model with/Nvidia RTX 2060 GPU. The GPU itself supports Gsync. But I've learned Gsync can only be hooked up via display port. And this laptop does not have display port. Do you need display port if you wanted to use a freesync monitor?

Simply, I want to know if there's anyways I can get Gsync or Freesync to work on the Razer Raptor monitor before I get those features and not be able to use them.

I would also really like to know whether this is possible or not. I have the Razer Blade 15 2020 (Advanced) which doesn't have the mini-display port that the previous models had.

I've read that the USB-C port is DisplayPort capable. So, if I connected my Blade to the Razer Raptor using USB-C to DisplayPort cable would that give me 144hz with Gsync compatibility?
I taiked to customer support and they told me that Gsync is compatable throught the HDMI port with the Raptor monitor specifically. There are some caveats though. It's not true Gsync, it's Gsync enabled through variable refresh similar to Freesync. But they assured me I would get a variable refresh using the Raptor monitor with an HDMI port even though Nvidia says they don't support Gsync through HDMI specifically.

It's all very confusing. I still haven't purchased my Raptor 27 yet though so I still am not sure. Good to know I'm not alone though thanks for posting.

Hi, I can (happily) confirm that the USB-C TB3 port on the 2020 Advanced model DOES communicate G-Sync to a G-Sync monitor. I am using a TB3 to display port cable that has DP 1.4 (seems to be the latest version of display port cables). My 2020 Advanced Blade 15 (with the 2080) is able to utilize the full 120hz of my monitor (Alienware 21:9, 34 inch) and Nvidia Control Panel allows me to enable Gsync for that screen. Runs all my games smooth and without tearing (with V-sync turned off). Pls spread the word, for some reason it is really hard to find a definitive answer online.
