Deathadder Randomly Decreasing Sensitivity Stage

Hi, I have a Deathadder Elite I purchased ~2 years ago, which has been great to use until today. The sensitivity will decrease randomly, with the popup from Synapse coming up every 15-20 seconds. Turning the sensitivity up works just fine. This happened right after I played with a brand new PowerA enhanced wired controller. I've tried updating Synapse 3.0 and 2.0 (which I have for my keyboard), uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse, updating the controller's drivers, and restarting the computer, none of which have worked.

As you could imagine, this is pretty annoying given that I frequently switch between different sensitivities for menus, browsers, and games. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Edit: forgot to add that I have also tried unplugging and re-plugging the mouse in, to no avail. I don't think it's a hardware issue because the error kept happening after I disabled the sensitivity stage down button.

Please check if there are duplicate hardware drivers in your Window device manager from the Razer Deathadder Elite. Also, check if the issue happens when it is connected to another computer.
