Disappointed with Basilisk X Hyperspeed | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
I use the mouse in 2.4GHz mode (not BT) and experience random "death" of the mouse that only removing and re-inserting the battery fixes.

This can happen intermittently WHENEVER. Even in the middle of a battle.

Then it doesn't happen for a day, or for a few days, and some other day it can happen twice.

With this kind of behavior, I cannot even return it to the shop and claim a warranty issue, as I cannot be sure they can actually verify the issue (it can take days to happen and no lab will spend days using my mouse to figure this out).

I am "trapped" with a bad product.

- Mouse it about 8 months old but started doing it even from the early days. But since it was very intermittent (sometime even not doing it for a week), I just gave it time. Bad decision.

- Mouse in a perfect condition, no drops or misuse.

- Changed battery many times already.

- USB port I use for it is 2.0.

- It is already on latest firmware.

- Win 10 x64, with every update and latest mobo firmware (Gigabyte X570 UD).

Help?

Well, as I read on the Net, the issue (with slight variations) is not uncommon, yet Razer didn't seem to react.

My son insisted on Razer so I gave the brand a try.

Probably last Razer I buy.

Except if I witness some extraordinary company support (for which I don't hold my breath).
I understand your frustration. Rest assured that I will do what I can to help you get this sorted out. By the way, does your PC have a 3.0 USB port? Also, far is the dongle from your mouse, and is there any wireless router near them? I'd also appreciate it if you can gather your Synapse logs, along with a screenshot of your MSINFO32. You can upload the files on Google drive or any hosting site and send me the sharable link via PM. Let's go there.
