Fans stop working in Razer 15

Has anyone had their fans stop working? I woke up this morning to my razer 15 (that had been sitting, lid closed, on the coffee table all night) being very hot, the top of the lid was hot, all round the keyboard everywhere was hot, the fans were not running. I tried to use synapse to manually turn the fans up but nothing changed, rebooted, still no fans. I finally shut it off for a couple minutes and booted it back up and the fans started working again. Since we've all paid so much for these laptops I don't like that it was possibly running hot all night, this does damage to components.
