Hammerhead Hyperspeed Xbox mic problems

While gaming with the dongle on the xbox people in my party said I sounded like (I was down a hallway) or they wouldn't hear me at all and not respond to me (Mic was completely picking up my voice). As soon as I go back to the xbox home menu with no audio coming to the earbuds everyone tells me I sound normal again. Please if anyone could help me with this I would love to not have to return this product as it is exactly what I want!

Trying everyone to get in contact with anyone about helping me with this problem. Seems others across a few threads have had this problem also.

I just got my earbuds and while they sound great, the mic gates anytime audio is playing making the mic useless. Is there a fix it setting to address this?

I got the Same Problem with the mic . Does anyone get an answer for  this Problem ?  I m using the Controller mic But this Not Want i Want to do for all time … if there no fixing im going to Send it back …

I have a support case open and will share the outcome once I get through the usual questions with the support team.

I’m having the same issue, I got my Wife a pair thinking that she could easily swap between using these for her work, xbox, music on her phone. Similar to how fantastic the Arctis 7X is!!

But the inconsistency of these earbuds is terrible! I’m really considering sending them back and buying her a crappy wired earbud from TJMaxx, those wont cut out or fail like these have. And she doesnt want headphones.

She goes from sounding fine, to sounding like shes down the hall, to her noise gate not activating at all.
If this is a firmware issue…..PLEASE FIX!

Unfortunately the results of my support case is a replacement coming but I fully anticipate the same issue. Their web ticket support is all automated so I ended up calling the support line. I explained the issue, pointed them to this and other community threads and their fix was to replace it... We shall see.

I agree that this is highly likely a firmware issue. If the same issue persist, I will return mine and open a case with Microsoft, who lists these on their website as certified. 

 

I will follow up once I test the replacement.

Yea, I read an earlier post where someone has been through 3 replacements and the issue is still there. Keep us updated. I like how Razer screens these posts too and can’t seem to recognize the issue.

Heyo all wanted to update this thread as I have received my replacement pair. And they have the same exact microphone problem! (I’d put all my money on a software problem at this point) I will open another support ticket here but will not accept a replacement as that is not the problem. I will keep at it for mine and everyone’s sake. I will see if there is a way to reach out to Microsoft also as other people have said this is listed as a “certified” product lmao. I will keep everyone updated on this thread so keep it bookmarked!

Ciao ragazzi, ho acquistato queste cuffie qualche giorno fa e purtroppo ho lo stesso problema al microfono. A me sembra che il microfono faccia fatica quando deve lavorare sulla cancellazione dei rumori. Il problema è che i ragazzi in gioco mi sentono molto lontano quando sono in game . Quando invece vado nella home della Xbox mi sentono perfettamente. Mi è capitato poi due volte che la cuffia destra si disconnettesse per poi costringermi a rimetterle nella custodia e riattivarle. Se qualcuno di voi avesse novità per favore scrivete grazie mille.

Just purchased these myself to discover the mic issues when going into game the microphone drops out for like 3 seconds consistently speaking thats when my microphone kicks in and others in chat can then hear me which is a major problem for gaming especially for warzone. Currently awaiting reply from support which i don't understand how an xbox licensed device can fail to work properly and the amount of online complaints & they still ask me to describe it in more detail or send a video🤦‍♂️.

Yes, it is pretty unreal. Just so you know, the online ticket system is all automated and it will not result in anything other than frustration. If you want action, I'd suggest calling their support number.

 

I am working on getting a contact on the Microsoft Xbox side so they can at least look into it. I can't imagine they would want something that doesn't work published on their certified device list.

 

It's such a bummer because they sound so good... But no mic is a no-go 😞

I’m currently getting support through email they asked me if i’ve tried it on playstation or pc other consoles etc🤦‍♂️ also to send video of it not working! Like you say sound quality is class just mic glitching with its 3 second delay 🤬 how they cannot hook it up and see the issue for there-self is beyond me! Or more so act dumb and play it down while there secretly trying to figure it out🙄.. better for the company than admitting a flaw🤷.

i have figured out a fix, i turned game volume off in a game & mic works fine so i then decided to turn effects sound down & once i done so my buds are working fine, 60% game volume, if i increase to 100% mic starts glitching, 60% is good give it a try👍

 

Nothing but a barrage of canned responses from their “Technical Support” email. I asked for details on their possible firmware fix in future. Not info was given at all, just instructions on how to send it back.

So I shipped off the earbuds today, and I can confidently say that I will never buy another Razer product for the rest of my life. Terrible customer service, inconsistent and overpriced product, and purposely convoluted replacement and refund policy.

I’ll take my money and wait for Steel Series to make a similar product, because their Arctis 7X is the best, most consistent, and long lasting headset I’ve ever had.

Io ho risolto acquistando le cuffie originali Xbox wireless e sono super soddisfatto. Mi aspettavo molta più competenza e professionalità da parte di Razer. Sinceramente era il mio primo prodotto di qualità che provavo ma sono rimasto molto molto deluso. 

Hola...yo estaba supercontento con estos auriculares, por ser pequeños, transportables, muy buen sonido… pero hoy, que he jugado en cooperativo en mi Xbox Series X, mi compañero me ha dicho que se cortaba mi micrófono o me oía muy lejos en ocasiones… Desde hace meses que no sacan una actualización de firmware. Espero que lo solucionen pronto porque me encantan pero tienen un fallo en el micro en chats. De momento, usaré unos de cable al mando y cuando lo arreglen, si lo arreglan, los usaré exclusivamente los Razer para todo, que era la idea.

Razer… arreglen el problema de los cortes del micrófono...por favor…

 

Hello... I was super happy with these headphones, because they are small, transportable, very good sound... but today, when I have played cooperatively on my Xbox Series X, my partner has told me that my microphone was cut off or heard me very far away sometimes... They haven't released a firmware update for months. I hope they fix it soon because I love them but they have a fault in the microphone in chats. For now, I will use some cable to the remote control and when they fix it, if they fix it, I will use them exclusively the Razer for everything, which was the idea.

Razer... fix the problem of microphone cuts... please...
