I just bought the huntsman mini which I totally love in terms of look and feel... but I'm returning it right away :(
This is the 2nd time I buy a razer product and have to return it, both times the product had so much potential and both times seems like "lack of test" is the reason the product is barely usable, a real pitty cause I truly love the look and feel.
Well, I go to the point. Got the keyboard yesterday and I wasn't able to use the "onboard" profiles, synapse lets me load them and all that but when I cycle trough them in the keyboard with synapse turned off they do not work (I always get the same "Spectrum cycling" lighning no mater what I loaded into the profile).
So I headed to the support page for the keyboard and found that there is firmware update, I though "Great! this might fix the issue"... After installing the driver the keyboard FN combos were messed and the windows taskbar unusable, the FN combos were fixed once I launched again synapse but the windows taskbar is broken for the span of 4 to 5 minutes every time I start windows (that is simply unbearable, I have to reinstall windows now but I cannot keep a keyboard that I know can cause that, not the keyboard itself, but the support attached to it).

I was allowed to replace my huntsman mini for a huntsman elite. The bug doesn't happen on the Huntsman Elite. However it is still a bad keybord. Atleat the bug doesn't happen.

This seems to mostly just effect their newer "gen 3" product line. The Elite was released back in 2018, so maybe that still used hardware and firmware based on their v2 products (which seem to work fine still - couldn't reproduce the issue on my BlackWidow Chroma TE v2, for example). Huntsman TE and Mini are 2019/2020 products.
Even when I was on my Intel 8700 processor, the Huntsman TE would occasionally bug out at the Windows login screen and repeatedly make the USB connect/disconnect sound. I never thought much of it because I didn't have any issues otherwise. Now that's obviously magnified with a 9900KF processor and hangs the login entirely. Seems to be some kind of issue with the way these newer keyboards interface with a USB connection. Some have said disabling various HID Compliant devices in device manager resolves it, but I haven't had any luck with that.

how did you convince them to replace it with elite, i am trying to get my huntsman TE fixed and they wont allow me to replace it with anything else even though i am happy to pay the difference.
how is there no class action lawsuit against razer for continuing to sell faulty products and not caring to fix them with a firmware or anything.

I screamed at their customer support people on the phone, and threatened to dispute them. They wouldn't offer anything but the elite.

Here is proof they allowed me to do it.
Adding myself to the list of Huntsman TE owners with problems with unresponsive taskbar after logon. In my case it's a z490 + i7 10700k system so it's not only a problem with amd chipsets. It only happens on a cold boot as far as I know on my computer and not even at a 100% rate so it's an annoyance at worst but it's unacceptable to find this bug in a line of peripherals unsolved and somewhat ignored by Razer after months of user complaints.

I've never contacted Razer, it's on them to fix the bug with a firmware/synapse update. I'm not in the mood to get an automated response and a few useless followup responses asking me to check drivers or my usb ports, that would be a complete waste of time.

this. it has been months and the blackwidow v3 is still doing it with the x570 chipset. no firmware update.
Asked for a refund. I can't use my 200 dollars product. I will keep you guys updated.

Seems like anything that was made in 2018 or earlier do not exhibit the issue - so their V2 line of products, or the Huntsman Elite.
If any of you did replacements as a step to troubleshoot this, make sure they didn't close your ticket after the replacement process was complete. This happened to me, despite me telling them the issue was still present, and I needed to open another ticket. Hold them accountable and make sure this issue gets tracked.
Came to this forum for the first time to see if anyone else had this issue (windows and taskbar freezing up after random amounts of time) and if it was safe to re-download Synapse... I guess not.
I didn't know Razer was at fault a few months back, so I did a fresh Windows install (for no reason). But since I found out it was causing the Windows freezes, I uninstalled Synapse and things have been normal.
I don't know which product might be the culprit when interacting with Synapse, but I own the following:
Razer Huntsman Elite
Goliath Mousepad (which would disconnect quite often when I had Synapse installed)
and the Basilisk Ultimate

They are asking me to cut the cord and peel off the label at the back of the keyboard in order to issue me a replacement. they have denied the problem exists and have refused to replace it with any other model or even huntsman elite. i really cant believe this. they are really in for a class action lawsuit if this continues on.
Came across this thread when i was looking for some answers regarding my issue - Windows 10 taskbar freezing after logging in.
In my case, i'm able to replicate this problem with a Ornata V2 Keyboard, a keyboard model that doesn't seem to be mentioned in this thread! Looked for some updates regarding it's firmware but they are inexistent...!
MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi with an AMD Ryzen 5600x - latest chipset driver's and windows update.

Perhaps some light at the end of the tunnel for Huntsman TE owners. Got a reply from support today that read a bit different than the usual responses so far:
"We wanted to let you know that we have managed to identify the cause of the issue that you have reported. Due to the complexity and the work that needs to be done, we are unable to provide an estimate of when you can expect a fix. However, once a fix has been identified, this will be released in a future software update."

Support responses that I also received on this topic and still no ETA for its resolution :frown_::
- End of july : "our team is aware of this issue and they are still working on the solution to this problem. However, we don't have any ETA yet for the solution"
- Yesterday : "we had this forwarded to our Development Team, and they are aware of the said concern, but due to the complexity and the work that needs to be done, we are unable to provide an estimate of when you can expect a fix."

At least it seems like they know what's wrong now, I hope. Glad to see they're sending similar communication to others. Shows that it's officially on the radar on their support side.
Well for whatever reason this issue seems to have returned. I shutdown my rig, Plug my Corsair K65 Mini in, Boot up and no issue at all, If I have the Huntsman Mini plugged in upon windows booting it gives me issues.
This type of issue shouldn't exist, If Corsair, Glorious, Ducky and Asus aren't having this issue with their 60% keyboards then there's obviously something broken on the firmware side of things with the Huntsman Mini.

Just a heads up to any other Users having the same issues as what others and myself had with the Huntsman Mini Keyboard.
Razer have uploaded Firmware for the Keyboard which would only affect Users with AMD Processors in their PC's.

Hope this helps if anyone else has experienced this issue. Someone probably has put this up already but just putting it out again so people can find it more easily through this thread.
