Huntsman V2 Stuck on white as soon as Windows Startup | Razer Insider
Question

Huntsman V2 Stuck on white as soon as Windows Startup

Userlevel 1

After a windows restart the keyboard goes from no lights before loging in to White Only AND the previously applied profile doesen t apply anymore.
The only thing working is the brightness management in “Lightning” section, the “Quick Effects” dont even work as well as the “Advanced Effects” obviously.
Keyboard bought on Amazon on December 22 2021.

Windows 11 Pro Last release 22631.2129, recent clean install (a month ago), everything worked correctly before this event.
What had already been tried :
_Reinstall Razer Central and All it s Components an restart
_Create a new profile and change the color by chroma color
_Uninstall the keyboard driver in the Device Manager
_works on another PC with the previous windows 11 Pro update

even with nothing from razer installed : either it be central or synapse, or chromasdk, the keyboard remain white instead of the default rainbow mode

Userlevel 1

it s like a game was overridin the custom profile but tried to successively shutdown all the potential process in tas manager and ni results

in “connect.apps” everything is switched off like “chroma apps”

I’ve noticed similar issues with two other keyboards & mice. I can’t narrow down the exact culpit, other than it’s most likely an internal conflict within Synapse 3.

Have you noticed any duplicate profiles being generated for your device(s) ?

Userlevel 1

Thank for your answer !
No duplicated profiles in Synapse.
Yes remain a true mystery.
_Also tried to restart OR delete and reinstall the 4 razer related service from windows
_Tried to uninstall all the USB and Keyboard drivers
, nothing

As you said trying to narrow down, but it appears like it s a high probability that the current Microsoft summer interns released the last Windows 11 Pro Insider Build 22631.2129 that screwed up the compatibility with synapse.

Maybe will have the right to a clean install again…..

On what Windows Build are you currently ?
What are you PC Specs ?

contacted the customer support : they ask you for the log that you can gather by Razer Log Collector [https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1462/~/how-to-gather-razer-synapse-3-logs-from-a-pc]

nothing came out of there obviously with razer putting customer support tier 1 agent that are untrained and unequipped tool wise to investigate Synapse+Central Logs,

So you have to maybe wait a mail from the supposed customer support tier 2, that maybe will announce you that they will have investigate the logs and more maybe they have and fix to avoid you a clean install….

I’m seeing the same thing happen, same OS build as well, Win11 Pro/22631.2129

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (AMD 7745HX/32GB/RTX 4070). I have a Deathadder V2 Pro and a Blackwidow V3 Mini (Phantom Edition) connected as well. Oddly, the mouse follows the Chroma profile I have, as expected(Blue default, flashes red when clicked). The keyboard stays entirely off-white though. The keyboard will not change color no matter how it’s connected(tried wired, BT, and 2.4 modes). Several reboots and a couple uninstall/reboot/reinstall cycles as well.

What’s also weird is that in Chroma Studio, the software shows that it’s following the expected colors, but it isn’t.

Doing some digging, I wonder if MS has started prepping for the release of their built in RGB lighting controls:

@ACI.XCIX-0001 Please try this:

  1. Right-Click on Desktop, click Personalize
  2. Click on Dynamic Lighting
  3. Turn OFF “Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices

That just fixed it for me, fingers crossed it helps you out!

Completely Wild !!

Was searching for that and was almost about to clean install !!….
Don t specifically give a freak about RGB effects other than having a at least a blacklight for dark environments (always prioritizing performance over appearance) but, just for the engineering rationality and sense of functioning of things, this kind of thing could have driven some people a bit “NUTTY” !! to say the least !!…….

Even Razer which was contacted before on the subject matter via a customer support case wasn t aware of that feature !

Obviously after checking your interesting shared link of the insinder changelog,  I ve directly made the connection and identifyed that absolutely !! All of this was the result of the new Micrososft custom made RGB lighning management implemeented in the last Windows 11 Insider build !!

Thank @Dimicron for passing by and taking the time to share what you found after you found it in this post !!

I have been going crazy over this problem and turning dynamic lighting off fixed it for me too! However, my media wheel is still stuck on scroll and when I try to change the binding of another key that isn’t working either. Anyone have suggestions for this problem? Thanks!

This problem has been driving me crazy for weeks, Razer told me to rest it, didnt work,  update firmware, didnt work, they told me my KB was defective, turning off dynamic lighting fixed it, thank you.

thank you so much I had the same problem on a blackwidow v3 it drove me crazy thinging my keyboard was broken this fixed my problem in like 3 secounds.
