Kaira Pro not connecting to audio app

Recently bought a Kaira Pro Hypersense for PS5.

It connected without issue to the PS5 and my phone via Bluetooth.

After making sure it wasn't connected to anything I am unable to pair it to the audio app on my Pixel 6a.

Any advice?

Hey Mate!

I would recommend checking out this sight and following these instructions:

How to connect the Razer Kaira wireless headset to a compatible device
Otherwise run through the user guide and go to section 5:

Razer Kaira Pro HyperSpeed (PS5) | RZ04-040302 Support & FAQs
You should find the solution to get it connected on there. If following those instructions properly don’t work, then its possible there a problem with the app not with your headset. It gets really annoying but android apps can sometime not work 100% with all hardware. Otherwise try connecting the headset to a different phone and see if it works fine, if it does it’s likely something to do with the audio/bluetooth drivers on the pixel 6a.

Let me know how you go!

I can find and connect to the headset when it is turned off, but once I turn on it always fails reconnecting.

Is there any other way to access the features found in the app for enabling game mode, changing the RGB etc...

It’s unlucky you will be able to access any of those features without the app since they are all software dependent. So just to be clear, when the headset is switched off: you are able to connect to it using your phone? as in when the headset is switched off it is shown in the Bluetooth options on your phone?

If this is the case then just make sure it is actually not the other way around. As in when you think its switched off it is actually switched on. Try listening to music or looking at any lights on the device. Naturally, the headset would be unable to connect to anything when it is switched off.

I can connect no problem to my phone when it's turned on.

The razer audio app will not find the headset even when connected to Bluetooth to my phone

Ah okay I understand now, looks like the Razer Audio App need location services permissions to be enabled before it can detect any devices, so just make sure that’s enabled in the app permissions first.
Restart your phone for good measure then try going through the connection steps here:

The app does not ask me for location permission

I’m having the exact same issue.

I was having the same issue. I kept trying to pair by holding the bluetooth button on the right side next to the mic volume dial.

What you actually have to do is hold the power button next to the usb-c port on the left side until it starts blinking blue for about 5-10 seconds or so, then pair and connect it with the audio app. This might take 2 or 3 tries so just be patient. It successfully connected for me with my Kaira Pro Dual PS5 headphones.

You can then scroll down in the audio app to change the Chroma Effect, Do Not Disturb, Equalizer, Game Mode, and Quick connect options.

I have the same issue.  Connects fine to console, and phone Bluetooth, but the app refuses to see the headset even when it is in pairing mode.

i tried holding down the power button aswell but the problem never resolved? ive held the pairing, bluetooth, and now power button trying to get my headset to pair with the app but it just wont pair. i also looked for the location permission but i cant find it.

I’m having same issue as well.

I have the same issue, tried it all, but does not connect to the IOS app. Are you trying to resolve this problem?

Hi all,

it’s quite silly razer haven’t been clearer with this but I finally figured it out:

Turn your headset off.

Then hold down the power button until pairing mode has activated (do not use the Bluetooth normal pairing method the app won’t handshake with the headphones that way), then search with the mobile app (make sure you check mobile devices on your phone & connect to the phone there manually) it should connect.

Once you’re connected to the app you can do your changes to EQ modes etc.

It’s important to note, you CANNOT use the app & listen to your console at the same time. Every time you want to use the app you have to switch between the console or your phone’s Bluetooth connection using the “Razer SmartSwitch / EQ button” & then start the app otherwise the app wont see the headset again, daft I know:

As quoted from the instructions “When using the app, make sure that the headset is only connected to your mobile device via Bluetooth. A solid blue status indicator indicates this connection.” 🤷
