My friend gave me his old razer blade 15 laptop and reset everything back to factory before he gave it to me. He ran a bunch of benchmarks before hand and said it ran really good. Once I got it and set it up, all the games I loaded up even simple ones like minecraft and gang beasts ran like at 2 fps. I installed all the necessary drivers and everything is up to date. The games however run really well when I use my external monitor so the laptop can run them. I just dont know why they run bad on the laptop itself. Why does it only run well on the monitor?

This might have something to do with your graphics driver. Isolate the issue by following the steps on this page. Should the problem persists, PM me the serial number of your device along with a screenshot of your MSINFO32. I can use those to take a closer look at your system and check for other possible solutions.
