My Razer Blade 15 (2020) is Fried!

So the graphic card in my laptop fried last night. I could smell the electrical burn smell that confirmed it was dead. The laptop boots back up but no display and the HDMI output doesn't work on my 2nd monitor.

So I'm getting a new Razer Blade 17 (2022). With that being the case, I'll need to get my 1TB SSD out of the old cache and I need a caddy that can read it from the new laptop once it gets here. Does anyone have a suggestion of a good one that is confirmed to work?

Also, it has 32GB of RAM and I'd like to max it out at 64GB, does the new one come with x1 32GB RAM or is it x2 16GB RAM? Also, any recommendations on which RAM to get for the new laptop?

Hi LordJonRay,

I'm sorry to hear about what happened with your Razer Blade 15" 2020 laptop. Should you wish to have it repaired, just PM me the serial number so I can start a case for a repair request. Regarding your question about the Razer Blade 17" 2022 RAM, it's best that you can provide the serial number of the laptop so I can validate its model specification on my end and get back to you with the information. Feel free to reach out to me anytime through PM. Thanks!
I haven't gotten it yet, it's costly compared to the previous laptop, but after a year at 15" I think I'm ready to go up to 17" so no need for a repair, I'll just scavage what I can off of the old one.

Was hoping to hear what make and product number comes with the new Razer Blade 17 (2022) but I'd have to order it and get it in yet. Still shopping for where to get it. I guess I'll just have to come back here once I have those details and the new laptop. Never a fan of having to reinstall, register, and set up the software again, but at least it's a better laptop right?

Cheers!
