Nari Ultimate dongle not connecting | Razer Insider
Question

Nari Ultimate dongle not connecting

Userlevel 1

So, today i was playing alrright, but suddenly my nari ult disconnected, when i went to check, i noticed that my headphones were not available on synapse, so i tried to reconect the dongle, but nothing.
I tried on a diferent computer, but the problem remains.
Sometimes the dongle connects but as soon as i play some audio, the audio plays for half a second and the headphones disconnect.

I tried to fill for warranty but razer says the Nari Ultimate are not available for warranty.

Does anyone have the same problem, or a fix?

Does the dongle appears in Windows device manager, when you’ll connect it to your PC?

Hi,

I got the same issue. Suddenly while I was playing a game it switched to my speakers. Headphones are one year old and well taken care of. Never encountered issue which happend while I was playing a new game for a first time.

Gotta say that I tried disabling other drivers, removing/disabling bluetooth on other devices, installing razor pairing tool, windows recovery, windows update,  disabling/updating drivers, re-installing synapse, tried turning all enchanments off before playing the sound …, different usb ports, cleaning USB slots - tried different USBs in it to see functionality and more……..

I have tried several guides that I found online in different threads.

And yes the drivers appear in device manager before I play some sound and just after the sound it disappears.

Would you have any idea how to solve it?

Thanks for any help

IDK if its important. Seems like its automatic start up of service and it keep failing in event viewer to start, even manually.

Also for some I have the events for this there 3 times.

I guess it’s not gonna be related but since I found it as well

You can try below steps to clean install Synapse & drivers:

  1. Uninstall Synapse
  2. Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
  3. Then restart your PC
  4. After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

But this may be a physical problem with the dongle.

If the above process doesn't work, please check your computer's bios update. Check the usb slot you are using. If none of them work, please test on another computer. and Please provide Razer feedback.

I have the same problem with the razor nari ultimate, i can connect the dongle to the pc but when i play music 2 seconds later it disconnects and it seems random if it will reconnect. I tried the same thing on my laptop guess what same problem so it probably will be a physical problem with the dongle because i tried the headset with a cable for in and output and it worked fine and also used the recovery tool for the dongle but it still didnt work. So can buy a new dongle anywhere? Or is there another way for fixing this problem?

Same problem. Bought a new Nari ultimate even (with new dongle of course) and still have the same problem.

Reinstalled synapse, dongle recovery etc. Nothing works.

Works fine with the cable.

Headset will or will not randomly connect, when it does the second i switch to the THX audio settings it disconnects and won't reconnect most of the time. I can see my USB devices ‘flicker’ as if it sees and loses the dongle over and over again. Seemed to have happened after either a windows 10 - or a synapse update.

same problem here

Hey! I know this wont fix the dongle USB issue, and you will lose the wireless feature but you can still use the headset and microphone: you can use the 3.5mm cable and attach a cable splitter to it (dividing into two cables, mic and audio) sure is cheaper than a new headset or a USB dongle, and you can use the headset you bought which is already expensive. Using the splitter it wont be recognized on synapse

Wont buy any Razer product again. Cheers!

i have the same problem today. any updates?

this worked fine for me https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1754/~/how-to-use-the-dongle-recovery-tool-to-restore-and-pair-or-connect-a-razer-nari#:~:text=Plug%20in%20your%20Razer%20Nari,the%20recovery%20process%20is%20complete.

Hello!! . I have the same problem and it seems to me that it is a problem of a faulty (cheap) dongle. Because if someone doesn't recognize it and struggles to connect, it's ok... but if someone has a problem like me, thats  after some time the system simply doesn't detect the headphones, it only means one thing. The dongle is burnt for sure.. Solution ? Buy a new dongle. I ordered a new one. When it arrives and it works, I will write, it may solve the problem for you too.. Cost around 35€ after im gonna add the website with the dongle.

Here is a link to the auction where I bought it, I paid a little less and there was a bigger promotion. The dongle hasn't arrived yet, it's supposed to arrive this week, I'll check it and write to you.

Hello. Today I received the dongle I ordered from China. It cost me 35 euros. I have already provided the website where I bought it, now it provides the website from which you should use the driver to connect the headphones to the adapter. Everything now works as smoothly as before for me. I recommend it if anyone had a problem like me!

Thanks, I have order a usb stick like that from aliexpress and it is not good. My pc see that stick, I used that pairing tool from Razer but when I connect the headphones with original cable, it dosent see it. I used same model of headphones (Nari Ultimate) but the problem was the same. Maybe only the original one will work.

I have fixed the issue many people are having. I believe that when they updated the software which was when mine stopped working it relied on the motherboard USB driver for the motherboard being up to date to work. This is why mine stopped working as soon as I did the software update on rtazer synsapse. Update your motherboard usb drivers and use the razer paring tool afterwards and all should work again. Hope this helps

I just fixed the issue. I figured that the problem was with the connection between the dongle and my usb port. The dongle wasnt properly secured to the port and that resulted in the dongle losing connection. I fixed it by breaking apart the dongle (literally) and using only the bord and and the metal casing. I super glued some of the plastic that broke from the outer plastic shell to the bord and metal to make a more snug fit and it worked. I had to use a bit of force to insert the dongle but I can say that its working perfectly. If anybody want a more detailed explanation feel free to send me a message.

this was the most batshit crazy thing and it worked, ggs brother and thankyou

I have the same problem, the dongle doesnt work. I’ve tried the pairing utility,  Razer Nari/Nari Ultimate Dongle Recovery, updating BIOs... I’ve tried also with cable and without it.  it doesn’t work in any way.

¿Any solution @Razer Admin ?

Thank you.

Same thing has happened to me. Are we ever gonna get answers @Razer Admin ????? I haven’t had my headset for a full year and this happens.

I bought my Nari I believe 2 years ago, just now I was playing LOL on my Mac and suddenly switched to speakers.

I tried unplug and replug, restarting the MAC, nothing worked.

I thought it's a MAC issue, I plugged it in my windows PC and it appears that the dongle is malfunctioning, it works for couple seconds then dies.

This is my second Razer product that fails me, my firs was the Naga mouse which failed after 2 months of use, the micro switch started double clicking, ironically my Reddragon mouses over the years never failed, I just got bored with them and wanted something PREMIUM, so thank you Razer for such crappy products, never buying razer again.
