Ohhhh No, .... my track pad bulging and split

HI all,
My name's Dave and I'm new to the forum.
I have a Razer Blade 15.1 that I bought in 2018, It's worked flawlessly except for, ....

About a month ago I noticed that my track pad has split and is bulging at the bottom.

I've never dropped nor have I abused it. I've just used it.

I've been doing some research and in that vain I've reached out to a local PC repair company and the repair tech new exactly what my problem was because he'd encountered the same issue with his blade. He said that the root cause of the issue was that the battery had swelled slightly causing the track pad to bulge and split.

The tech told me that he sent his laptop back to Razer and the repair cost him a whopping 550.00.

Open the attached file and you can view my issue.

I would like to know if other Razer Blade owners have encountered similar issues with their laptops that they'd had repaired and what their repair experiences were like.

Thanks for any feedback.

Sincerely,

Dave

Oh gosh! I reckon that the bulging on your laptop's trackpad is certainly a symptom of a swollen battery based on the attached photo; please refrain from using this laptop for your safety. Considering the severity of this case, I highly recommend that we send your device to our Service Center for repair and proper diagnostics. I don't have visibility over the repair cost, but our relevant Team should be able to give you the exact details.
