Razer 7.1 surround does not working. What can be done here to solve this problem???

There's not much to go on from here. Do you have an analog or a USB headset plugged in?
An analog plugged in. My device is Kraken X
Please make sure that "Speakers (7.1 Surround Sound)" is set as the default playback device in Windows sound settings. I'd appreciate it if you can upload a screenshot of the sound settings window. Also, please update the app to the latest version.
Speakers 7.1 is not showing up for me, and rzappengine.exe and four other files disappear after being installed, and that's with my av turned off...

We are still working on a proper fix, but please send me a PM so we can try some troubleshooting steps.
Pm sent, thanks mate!
Hi, having a similar problem. I'm unable to select my headset.

Hi, having a similar problem. I'm unable to select my headset.
Which Razer headset do you have? If you have a USB variant, then it's definitely not supported by the standalone surround app.
Mine is a Razer Kraken X with 3.5mm connections.
Edit:
Its running through the splitter. It was working fine until last week, now the install just doesn't work properly and Speakers (7.1 surround sound) has disappeared from my audio devices and so I can't select it as the default to enable surround :slightly_sad:
I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, making sure I get the latest version, cleaned registry, disable antivirus, all to no avail. I did notice that, when I do the install, it copies rzappengine.exe and several other files that immediately disappear into the program files. Why they don't install properly is beyond me.
Cheers!

To be honest, this is something we have not been able to recreate yet. Please PM me screenshots of this, and we'll go over how to collect the necessary logs from there.
Here are screen shots with it installed, it shows how the app says 7.1 must be the selected default device, and how there is no 7.1 to select. It was there last week, so it's got me stuffed.
edit: Well, i got it sort of working with the razer surround pro configurator on razer synapse, but I can't use the pro settings because it won't accept my activation code

Do you mind telling me how you made it work? If possible, send that over via PM. By the way, Razer Surround Pro and Razer 7.1 Surround are two different apps, so you will need different keys to activate them.
PMd you again, cheers Caziel.

Hey, I have a question. I have a Kraken x too, and the mic just flat out doesn't work. Can send me some screenshots of your mic settings, or just give me a recap on if your mic works, or idk, i just need help.
Edit: And guys, I had this problem before, you can turn on the Realtek speakers from the sound settings, which should work with the Realtek speaker/headphones. They both need to be on.
Edit: I just need help with my mic
@OgAsian63 You don't have to spam the thread. PM me the serial number of your headset and a screenshot of your Windows Sound Settings>Recording tab.
First, check your mute button!

I am so sorry.

I am so sorry.
Don't worry about it too much.
I'll be locking this thread to drive things to PMs as we are slowly straying away from OP's concern.
