Razer Barracuda High Pitched whine in right ear while using 2.4GHz dongle | Razer Insider

Hi all,

I have been using the Razer Barracuda for a few months now and I have loved it except for one small thing that is making me go crazy now. For the first month I used this headset it worked perfectly with no audio issues and has great sound quality however, in the past couple weeks this “staticy whining noise” has become more and more prevalent until now where its just near constant. Anytime I use the 2.4GHz USB C wireless dongle is when the sound occurs, never in Bluetooth or using a 3.5mm jack regardless if its connected to my phone or PC. the whining noise is only ever really present when other audio/sounds are being played through the headset, after all audio stops, then it only takes a few seconds for the sound to go away but otherwise, its pretty much constantly there!! occasionally the whining noise will just appear randomly when surfing the web or just doing nothing but for the most part is only present when other audio is being played through the headset. I have tried updating drivers for everything you can think of, I have tried using the headset on 2 different computers now and the same exact issue occurs, anytime some form of audio plays even if its a notification for a split second, the right ear whines for a few seconds. Anyone else with this issue or is it just me? Anyone have any suggestions?

also I went online and found this reddit post that has a video of a TV that makes a sound that's nearly the EXACT SAME as what the headphones are doing (the headphones are a little higher pitched though)

Any help or suggestions would be awesome as I have loved this headset but this issue is getting out of hand and I need a fix sooner rather than later.

Hi RockyBronto,
