Hello,

 

I’m experiencing an issue with my new Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 model. I purchased and received it less than a week ago, made sure to apply all updates to both the headset and attached USB dongle, and am experiencing the following issue:

 

Whenever I am streaming (game/show/movie/anything) in Discord, whoever is viewing the stream hears a buzz in the background. I quickly plugged in my old headset (non Razer, wired headset+mic) and the stream is no longer buzzing. My Windows is fully updated, the Razer headset is set as my default mic in windows, etc. I can’t think of any reason as to why the headset would be affecting stream audio. I have even tried muting my mic during stream. Also, the static/buzzing sound does not happen during regular voice calls in discord. I’ve also tested several other calling apps (teams, regular phone calls, etc) and have no audio issues. I have not tried streaming video on any other platform as I don’t really have another platform to test on.

 

I’m not sure if this is enough information, but I would really appreciate any assistance in solving this issue. Thank you!

GUYS I FIND A SOLUTION ON REDDIT, UNLIKE THE SOLUTION GUY MY HEADSET VOLUME DECREASED SLIGHTLY BUT IT WORKS VERY WELL, ALSO IT FIX MY SOUND MIXER PROBLEM TOO, I CAN CHANGE APP VOLUME NOW.

Nerowheelr: ‘’So, finally found a fix after fuc*ing around for so long. Go to your speaker properties, go to enhancements and tick on disable all enhancements. Works fine now but everything sounds a little less loud’’

THE FACT THAT THIS ISNT FIXED YET IS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS.

I know I’m extremely late to this since I also got the headset a few weeks ago but the problem seems to be stemming from window-related audio capturing. The crackling doesn’t happen when you try to record desktop audio so if there is a way to stream on multiple tracks and set your streaming output to something else it should be solved which I’m also trying to figure out how

Got the same problem now (had my headset for over a year now and no problems with it), even got a new usb plug and its still there. Using another headset via jack the problem isnt there. Turning of the experimental auio capture in discord does fix the noise but then I can’t stream the haul screen…
I hope it will be refixed ?

I have the same problem going on here now too. I’ve had this headset for well over a year with no problems but now all of the sudden whenever I stream anything on discord there is a loud clicking/crackling noise happening for anyone viewing the stream.  If the experimental audio capture method on discord is disabled, then the noise goes away for people but now I cannot stream any browser of any kind to people because no audio will be streamed. This just seemed to pop up last week on I want to say Friday after a random Razer Synapse update or whatever it was. Is there any fix for this or is it just a waiting game at this point? I’d rather not have to get a new headset already.

Hi Guys, I bought these headphones yesterday and when there is no sound or I watch anything I can hear a buzzing sound.

Does someone have the same issue?

having this issue, every time i try streaming to discord there is a loud static everyone can hear, I’ve tried updating drivers, resetting settings, turning on and off experimental capture, nothing is fixing this, i have even uninstalled and reinstalled discord. 

Me too just had this issue crop up a few days ago happens if i steam on discord or via obs to twtich hope it gets fixed soon really annoying

I have a similar issue but it will make a REALLY loud static noise randomly. I’ve got the Blackshark V2 headset. I have to unplug the USB and replug to stop the noise temporarily. I just bought it not too long ago. 

I’m having the same issue with my Webex while having a conference call,  randomly my microphone produces static and no one can hear me clearly

the headset is now working fine as far as i can tell however i need new earpads and i cant find these anywhere and support refuses to help so i would say that the support from razer has been generally terrible and i will not be buying from them again 

I’ve been told that while streaming, I no longer have a low hertz buzz.
I do however still have a very faint buzz when lauching certain games, it is only noticeable when there’s no audio. Seems to be a gain issue since the loudness is linked directly to the pc audio levels. .

Can anyone confirm that its fixed?

I too have updated the firmware of both the headset and dongle 

Headset: v2.4.2

Dongle: v2.2.0

 

But BEFORE I have updated the firmware the issue did go away, maybe there was an update for programs like Discord? So I can’t really compare whether if the firmware did fix the issue. Maybe someone else can confirm.

Seems to be fixed according to my friends when testing the headset and audio. Definitely hoping there is no other issues that pop up with the headset.

Firmware update just dropped recently, going to test out the headset now and see if the buzzing is still there, or if they patched the bug. Hoping the team sorted the dongle issues out as it seems the dongle went from version 2.1.0 to 2.2.0 in the update.

yeah seems to be fixed but now i just get a buzzing that starts randomly with any noise i play i have to restart the pc to stop it , ive checked with another headset no issues so yet again razor need to put out a fix

I was told today that my stream no longer has a low hertz buzz on discord. Seems to be fixed??

I manually updated my Razer Synapse and my girlfriend said all the buzzing noises disappeared when streaming to her on discord 

Would appreciate an update to address the extended wait for the patch.

Still no fix? They said they were looking into it almost 2 months ago now and had confirmed there’d be a fix coming. Mine are past the return window now since I was expecting maybe a month for something relatively small like this.

I won’t be returning this headset because the only negative is Screensharing on a platform that intentionally uses EXPERIMENTAL methods to pick up audio from sources like Google and Chromium-based web browsers, but I do hope the developers push out a patch soon because there isn’t a single headset other than the Blackshark V2 Pro that has this loud bussing issue when sharing game audio on Discord. 

Disappointed that it has taken this long for a fix as I was a headset pre-release tester for the headset itself through BestBuy, with my only complaint being this issue, so I hope it can be resolved in a more caring and timely fashion than what has already been seen. This headset has been great and has hit every mark, but developer support has been very lackluster and not a single software update has been pushed to date attempting to fix issues.

I'm extremely surprised this issue hasn't been resolved by Razer given the time frame. I went through support which was just a never ending cycling of different agents asking me to do the the same steps. I even asked them to stop requesting me to do more testing, and for their technical department to do it themselves - which they ignored. I eventually just gave up and let the ticket close by itself.

 

This is my first time buying a Razer product - very happy with the product quality, but their software and support system is extremely disappointing. Please solve this Razer or I'll be returning my product.
