Razer Blade 2018 Webcam/Microphone don't work

I have a 2018 Razer Blade (RZ09-0238x) and tried to use the webcam for a zoom call. I have never before used the webcam, and still haven't. No other issues with the machine, but it's sort of ridiculous that a laptop this expensive lacks basic functionality due to poor design.

- Windows doesn't recognize that a webcam exists or is supposed to exist.
- Microphone shows in Windows but doesn't work.
- This seems to be a known issue due to a faulty product, but I'm reaching out in the hope that there's an easier fix.

I'm happy to provide any information needed if someone can point me in the right direction.

Exact same issue. Pathetic.
wait i have same exact problem. says all drivers up to date. but can't be detected.
I am having a similar issue with my Razer Blade 15" (2020) Advanced model.
Windows sees the mic, sees the driver, but does not register any voice signal.
Re-installed drivers, used Windows and Realtek drivers and no success. External mic works fine.

My Razer logo on the back of the screen is working for me. That issue might be on a different thread.
I have the same issue with the build in microphone. Cam is working fine. Noticed that this happened immediately after the Windows Update 2004. From what I've read this seems to be a known and common issue with the 2004 update of Windows 10. Has nothing to do with the Blade.
Unrecognized factory defect. Same for me.
