Razer Deathadder Pro V2 - Disconnecting on 2.4gz Hyperspeed - Only when playing games

RSJMann

I recently decided to go from my trusted Deathadder Elite wired mouse to the Deathadder V2 Pro and it’s been nothing but problems since I started using it.

I’ve seen a lot of people with the same or similar issues as me but the fixes that worked for most people have not worked for me.

I have managed to update to the latest firmware using tutorials I’ve found and multiple people have said it worked for them however the issue is still present for me.

I can sometimes get it to work for 10-15 mins, then the issue returns and I don’t know what else to do. I’ve done a full clean reinstall of Synapse and that helped for the first 20mins of playing Diablo 4, but then the issue once again returned.

I can’t seem to roll back the mouse firmware either, do doing the update again with LMB, RMB, Mouse Wheel and Profile button won’t work because the installer says I already have the latest firmware.

Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue.

Ok guys, I fixed this by plugging in the wireless dongle to the dock, which is physically located next to the mouse. I've not had ANY disconnection issues for the past 3 days. The manual does say you should have a "clear line of sight" between the mouse & dongle. In my case I had it plugged in to my pc which is under my desk.

Another possible issue I ran into related to connectivity - it seems the USB cable wasn’t securely plugged in at the end that plugs into the mouse dock. Windows was sometimes failing to recognize the device & the LED lights on it weren’t coming on.

Make sure the cable is plugged in securely and correctly (there’s some letters on the actual cable telling you which way points up)

Hopefully this helps someone.

Final update:

The previous steps did not end up fixing my issue. Turns out the wireless dongle itself was faulty.
I contacted Razer support and got a replacement shipped in - no issues with connectivity since.

If you’ve tried all the above I suggest you contact Razer about a replacement.

The whole process took about two weeks, but it was several emails back & forth.
