Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma | Razer Insider

Hello Razer.

I bought a Goliathus Extended Chroma a few days ago and I seem to be having a problem with the lighting.

It is very noticeably stronger on the side where the emitter is positioned, because the LED's are in there, but it is sadly quite noticeably weaker on the side without the emitter. I am guessing this is due to the product's design and that no RMA would be able to solve this, but this issue does not appear on product review videos and is not talked about in any support forums beyond Reddit, so that's pretty strange.

I am assuming that I can't see the problem on YouTube because cameras don't really catch the difference in brightness because of picture settings and sensitivity. But IRL my mat looks very bright on one side and dim on the other.

Basically my question is should I go and try to RMA my mat, or is this standard behavior. I am a very busy person so going to the store will lose me work hours sadly. I require a straight up honest answer.
It is as you said, lighting will be a bit brighter near the emitter but it should even out through the rest of the mat. There shouldn't any dimmed spots. How big a difference are we talking about? Can you put up a photo or maybe even a video detailing the severity of the issue?
As you can see in the included picture, there's a big difference between the left and right sides. The camera wasn't able to capture the difference but let's say the side near the emitter is as bright as than the lighting on the mouse, and the side on the right is hardly lit. The camera just kinda caught the dark side as a bit brighter than what it is. It's nearly completely dark.

This isn't that bad, I just want to know if this is an issue and it's not supposed to look like this.
Not sure if it's the camera angle but from the shot you shared, the bottom right spot you highlighted is a bit too dimmed. You can get it replaced if it bothers you.
Thank you, I'll go to the store and have it switched. Worst case, it isn't that bad.
