Razer Kiyo Persistent problems

Hi there! This is going to be a lengthy post so I'll apologise in advance!

I'll start with a quick description of the problem; So around February I would notice that my Razer Kiyo would randomly freeze when I was streaming, I would be notified to it happening by the brief sound on my headset almost like my headset had re-connected. Sometimes it wouldn't happen, sometimes it would, live or not live and at very random times consistently, my first instinct was to check all the drivers were up to date, which they were and check Synapse, and everything came back that it was working fine and all drivers were up to date.

After this, my next step was to reinstall all the drivers for the camera, which at times would work for a day or two before the problem happens again, I've had the same result with Synapse installed and not installed, I tried the Razer Kiyo Firmware updater too, and still no effect. I went through Device Manager and all my USB Hubs and disabled any power saving options for the ports to ensure that the USB port itself wasn't loosing power (This also happens on ALL my ports), I also went into my recording + playback settings and went through all stream associated hardware like the camera, headset, my mic etc and disabled the option for the hardware to take exclusive control over the apps, so I assumed with no loss power to the USB ports, no hardware controlling applications, all drivers up to date, firmware up to date it would work, but sadly it has not. I contacted Streamlabs Desktop support and have spent numerous weeks providing them error codes from their software, and they came to the conclusion that something in the Overlay was causing it to crash, but I wasn't convinced, so I decided to reinstall windows in full, still nothing. After this I reinstalled windows a second time on the day I purchased a second Razer Kiyo, and it still didn't work. I've recently got a new overlay for my streams, and the problem still persists, so I assumed it has to be software based and Streamlabs is the problem and they can't find their own faults, they just kept blaming my overlay, so I switched overlays, and streaming software entirely and the problem still persists.

I'm literally at a wits end at this point, I've bought a new Razer Kiyo, reinstalled windows twice, checked all drivers and firmware, new overlay and just about every other fix you could probably think of (I've problem forgotten one or two things I've tried as this has been happening over a few months)

Does anyone have any suggestion whatsoever?

All the best, thanks for reading!
Wilkie!

Hi @Wilko-Baggins, I can only imagine how frustrating this is for you. I would love to lend a hand. For now, try running a full system scan using the anti-virus of your PC/laptop or even test the camera on a different PC for further isolation. PM me the serial number of your device so I can check for any available updates and other workarounds to help you resolve the issue. Thanks!
