FIXED
Found a solution which has worked for me,

Sounds > Playback > Headset > Properties > Unticked “Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device”

This has worked for me, I havent had any issues as of yet, I will update over the next few days as to any change! Hope this helps at least 1 of you and saves you guys buying a new headset!
(This was only in my situation it may differ)

Seems we are all having this issue rather recently? Ive noticed mine pop and cuts out all sound coming through for a few seconds and on occasion comes back, Ive noticed in my sound settings under the playback tab, it is switching itself between being a default device and just purely non existent? Anyone else getting the same results? Totally considering buying a new headset but love this one! Only recently has this started to happen! Roughly around the same time as OP’s post!

I’m trying to go through their support and get it solved. But frumSy I know exactly what you mean when you say it switches between being a default device then just vanishing. Hopefully the issue can be solved or it’s a new brand headset for me.

I’m having this exact same issue and it’s really getting on my nerves

same issue started happening to me a week or 2 ago. Im just about 3-4 months after the 3 year warranty is up and they seem to disconnect and hurt the living hell out of my eardrums and i only have my desktop audio at 18 (loud for these headphones unlike my old ones that needed 100). Issue tends to happen when hitting the wire near the part that is connected with the headset. Really sad but if its software razer synapse is ass so I dont expect a fix for 5months if it is the software, doesnt even launch 50% of the time when booting.

Hey Guys!

I had the same problem and finaly found solution:

Right click on Razer Central icon in system tray > Click on settings > General menu:

ENABLE GPU HARDWARE ACCELERATION

It worked for me 100% (no disconnecting issue for 2 days now), hope it does work for you aswel.

This is a very annoying problem considering the amount of money we have paid. I’ve tried every suggestion I can find and still no resolution.

Been dealing with this same problem for a few months now every single day. I can keep my head as still as I want and it cuts out. Ive tried using another computer, still cuts out. I think its the wire as when moving it enough it cuts out, Im a couple months passed my 3 year warranty and if I dont find a fix will never buy a product from razer again.

Hi Everyone,

The issue is power delivery. For some reason the headphones aren’t getting enough power. If you connect the headphones to a power dock or a usb hub with power, the issue stops. I have verified this 5 times. Please let me know if this fixes your issue. @Razer Admin you guys need to fix this……. it’s crazy I figured out the issue in an hr what you guys have not in a year…..

Hi guys!

Did you already try to reinstall its firmware and clean install the Synapse 3 app for further isolation? Should the issue persists, let me know through PM and provide the serial number of your device so I can validate its model and check for other options. Thank you!

Same issue as all posts. I wonder how it is not solved, yet

Where can I find this firmware? I looked on the razer firmware page and the Kraken Ultimate was not listed there.

Having same problem since a few months ago, it’s annoying!!

Having the same issue, nothing solves it.. Did anyone find an actual working solution?

I’ve been having issues with my headphone while in meetings! and mostly exclusively with Google Meet, and it keeps disconnecting and connecting like, every 5 seconds, which is awful because I don’t hear shit properly. Which is funny because even seconds before, listening to spotify or watching a video, I don’t have that problem. And it’s driving me insane, I thought maybe the USB port of my computer was the issue, but after realizing this I’m just annoyed and baffled.

Gonna try the solutions offered here and let you know what worked for me I guess.

@greatRoseDustshare895  This is what I used to resolve the disconnecting.

Amazon.com: JoyReken 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, FlyingVHUB Vertical Data USB Hub with 2 ft Extended Cable, for Mac, PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, iMac, Surface Pro, XPS, Laptop, Desktop, Flash Drive, Mobile HDD : Electronics

You will also need a USB-C cable along with a 20w power brick to make sure you get more juice to the hub. This was the cheapest setup I could put together. I tried a dongle but it didn’t work.

If you want something a bit more useful but more expensive you can get a display link hub.

Amazon.com: Dell USB 3.0 Ultra HD/4K Triple Display Docking Station (D3100), Black : Cell Phones & Accessories

This will also allow you to have more than one display if you’re using a laptop.

Having the same problem on my Razer Kraken Ultimate , Headphones are almost new , i used them couple of times when i get home cause i work abroad , every few minutes i get poping sound disconect and reconnect , tried instaling new Windows and also reinstaling Synapse , nothing helps , i dont know why you guys are forcing new updates when the old drivers were working just fine , its not normal to give over 100€ for a headphones that you cannot use
honestly wtf Razor , you were number 1 in gaming gear
I can see here people are waiting over 3 months for this problem to get fixed
just WTF

You dont even care about us just posting standards bull…..

Hi I have the same problem. Please send older drivers because the problem started after the March update. Thank you

Hey everyone I was having the same issue but was able to fix it. I uninstalled it from the device manager and reinstalled it and it fixed the issue hope that helps.

Hey everyone I was having the same issue but was able to fix it. I uninstalled it from the device manager and reinstalled it and it fixed the issue hope that helps.

Right click and uninstall and when you turn your headset back on your pc should detect it and install the drivers.  If not you can right click the Audio inputs and outputs and force it to search for hardware changes. Also this is all located under device manager.

I am also in the same boat, not happy about it, but glad I’m not the only one. I was beginning to think this specific problem was targeting me directly. I have found a variety of solutions that could “potentially” fix this issue, but none have them have worked. For a $130 headset, you would think there would be a bit more attention focused on this problem.

I myself, believe there is a driver conflict or something in the code tied to the Razer Inc - HIDClass - 6.2.9200.16547 driver. I notice that every time Windows installs this, the problem seems to start. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to uninstall this driver for testing. Looking at the update history, this driver has been installed over and over again in the past two years and I’m not quite sure why, as the problem just started a couple of months ago.

The other annoying part is that it’s an intermittent issue, sometimes it works fine and other times it will continue to disconnect and reconnect over and over again until it decides to play nice. For it to only do it again about 10minutes later.  This seems like an ongoing issue, with a bunch of posts/reports from consumers tied to this same issue, not just with the Kraken Ultimate either. I’m seeing reports of this same exact issue even with the newer Razer headsets.  I’ve also confirmed that it’s not the cord, another problem highly reported on these headsets, I can tug at the cord, and manipulate it any way I want it will not trigger the disconnect/reconnect. It’s completely random.

If anyone has any suggestions and or have applied a fix that has worked for you - please post them here in this thread, there are hundreds of us looking and hoping for a solution. I really wish Razer would embrace the “by gamers, for gamers” ideology a bit more. The idea of them actually operating this way fades every day this issue goes unanswered/patched.

Same issue, but unfortunately it came after the 2 year warranty so idk what to do. I tried all the options written in the razer website but nothing changed. I also tried to open the headset to se if there are any broken or disconnected parts but all seemed fine. Pls help i'm desperated
