The only way I can make the dock work is to unplug the dock and plug it back in. I have to do this every time I boot my PC.
I also get the issue when my PC goes to sleep. When waking the PC I get the same problem.
I have updated the firmware of the mouse and dock. But, this has no effect. I have also repaired Synapse and have done a clean install.
Does anyone else have this issue on Windows 11?
Still doesn't explain why it would work, but I will give it a go anyway.
Any chance this actually worked for you? I don’t feel like changing motherboard settings off from random forum comments.
MSI Fast Boot really works, because it disables the “check” of USB devices when turned on. The only problem is that to get into the BIOS again you will need to be from under Windows. The del key will not work in this case (with MSI Fast boot enabled). Any manipulations that are described here on the forum do not work or work but crookedly.

Nope didn't work, didn't really think it would when I read up on it. The mouse dock pro is just a paperweight now. It's been swapped once. Razer won't acknowledge it's a driver problem (the dock shows on device manager as a non working usb device on multiple computers). Junk product, junk support!
I have mine plugged into a USB brick so I can charge my mouse when the computer is off. I am guessing there will never be a fix for MSI motherboards.

I tried all the various things and still run into the issue where I have to unplug and plug back in the Dock Pro usb cable for it to work correctly on boot.
Reinstalled drivers, All the Fast boot things are off etc.
The clean install to Synapse 4 fixed this issue for me. All other solutions didn’t work or caused other undesirable system behavior. Save yourself some time and follow the guy’s advice on page 4 of this thread and ignore all other suggestions in this thread. Don’t forget to run the Razer driver cleaner from the elevated command prompt.
They finally solved the issue with the November 2024 firmware!!
everything remains the same. When loading Windows 11 it does not detect the dock pro. it really is a paperweight jajajaja
The November firmware update seems to have worked for me and appears to have fixed the usb device not recognised issue. It is still early days but so far from a soft or hard boot, the dock pro initiates and operates as it always should have.

maybe try complete removing razer products & drivers from your install and reinstalling just synapse 4 (without all the other junk) just to start off with and see if it works? This is pretty much what I did after the firmware update to the dock pro.

I spoke too soon, what a pile of junk Razer is, back to the same issue as before, “invalid code descriptor”.
Hi!
Since Razer failed to fix it, I found a work around for it. Just use a USB-hub or if your monitor supports USB devices, connect the mouse dock to that and then connect the USB-hub or monitor to your PC. This way, the OS will bypass recognition of the mouse dock during startup and instead loads the drivers for the secondary USB hub/monitor USB port. This also doesn’t effect the mouse dock syncing with Razer Synapse. Since I used this method, I never get the error again.
thanks, I shall give this a go.

This works 100%. I have a Mouse Dock Pro with Basilisk 35K, MSI B660M Motherboard, and Synapse 3. Razer Mouse Dock Pro is now connected via my Asus VG27AQL3A monitor instead of direct to the motherboard.
I connected it via a USB-C hub. Now it works fine.
MSI Fastboot not activated.
HI ! U need to put the polling frequence to 8000Hz !
De rien hahaha !
Anyone with the issue with the Basilisk V3 Pro no longer pairing with the Mouse Pro Dock after this latest firmware?
I bought a bear and a docking station, the bear works, the docking station works too, but the docking station can't find the bear, essentially it has become useless, as far as I can see this is a problem that the reserve is not able to solve, but trying garbage in the form of non-working devices can
Same issue here.
MSI Board (Z790), Razer Basilisik V3 Pro 35k + Mouse Dock Pro.
Every reboot i need to un- and plug my mouse dock again to get it working.
- Reinstalled synapes
- Removed all drivers before
- Put Mousedock on a usb hub including (Keyboard an Webcam)
- Tried to play around with MSI board settings
Any ideas?
It looks like nobody has figured out whats the real problem so far?
Wow, this has been going on for 2 years? i only just recently upgraded to Windows 11 and found this issue, happens on both of my razer mice. upgraded to synapse 4 still had problem
Discovered that it is whenever my mouse/dongle is powered off, or unplugged after shutdown
My temp solution:
for some reason this new mobo(z790) turns off the power to the USB ports on shutdown. so i found a setting in the BIOS that keeps the USB ports powered on after shutdown.
now my mouse works on Bootup everytime. unless i unplug the mouse. (I had sent in the basilisk v3 pro for a hardware defect) and im currently using the basilisk ultimate. my dongle stopped working so im using it wired in.(makes it easy to unplug and replug)
IDK how this affects wireless mice. idk what point the mouse will fully shutoff or if standby mode will be the same as disconnecting from the dongle. because as soon as it disconnects from the dongle. your probably going to have to replug.
this sucks for me because i disconnect the power from my PC after i turn it off to save on electricity.
now i know that the mouse is still supposed to work even if the usb ports are powered off after shutdown. but now that everyone is going to switching to windows 11 soon, they will have to figure this problem out.
I wouldn’t bother buying any wireless mice from razer anymore unless they fix this issue. Hell i wonder if this is the reason my dongle broke for my basilisk ultimate.
I can’t remember exactly what BIOS setting it was, maybe “Erp Ready” or the atcp handoff or something, under the advanced settings.
TLDR:
Keep your mouse plugged in, directly. and make sure your USB ports retain power after shutdown, in your BIOS settings. That's the only time i don't have to re-plug.

Hello guys, I solved the problem by using a USB extension cable. Considering the example given here, I connected the Razer Type-C cable to a USB cable with a male and a female output, and I got rid of the disconnection problem.
Can’t believe this isn’t fixed yet. Quite frustrating that you spend a lot on this system and I need to go extra steps to get it working as intended.

An update after a month: After performing the action I mentioned, the issue started happening again after a while. These days, it occurs frequently.Even adding a USB cable wasn't helping. You really need to resolve this now.

Whole company like a joke!
