Razer Naga Pro no longer scrolls windows when scrolling the wheel

In the last week my Razer Naga Pro has stopped scrolling. The wheel is operating fine, I’ve updated the firmware, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, updated synapse, everything I can find to try and resolve the issue.

The scroll wheel itself works fine, it doesn’t bind or stick, and the other functions of the scroll wheel work as they should (scroll wheel press allows me to scroll the page, side presses work as intended), however whenever I try to scroll the wheel it doesn’t move any page. I also noticed that at the same time my scroll wheel stopped working, the colors on the scroll wheel and the base of the mouse don’t always match the side buttons.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as the mouse isn’t that old, maybe a little over a year.

It sounds like you have already tried some common troubleshooting steps, so here are a few more things you can try:

  1. Check the scroll wheel settings in Razer Synapse: Open Razer Synapse and go to your Naga Pro's settings. Under the "Scroll Wheel" tab, make sure that the "Scroll Up" and "Scroll Down" functions are set to "Default" or the functions you prefer. You can also try changing the scroll speed settings to see if that helps.

  2. Test the mouse on a different computer: This will help you determine if the issue is with the mouse itself or with the software/drivers on your current computer.

  3. Clean the scroll wheel: Sometimes dirt and debris can accumulate in the scroll wheel and cause it to stop working properly. Try cleaning the scroll wheel with a can of compressed air or a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol.

  4. Contact Razer support: If none of the above steps work, you may want to contact Razer support to see if they can offer any further assistance or if the mouse is still under warranty, consider a replacement or repair.

I’m guessing it’s a hardware issue as it does not scroll on a second PC I have. That’s unfortunate, I’m outside warranty but just barely.
