Razer Nari Ultimate - not working 15/11/2022

Hello,

I bought my *New* Razer Nari Ultimate about 3 months ago (03/08/2022) was working smoothly until yesterday, whenever I open a YouTube video or a video game the headset starts disconnecting and reconnecting (loop) until it suddenly stops and just does not work anymore. I tried removing the USB and putting it on different ports with no luck "Sound icon down right in windows 10 bar keeps switching speaker devices like crazy". Also, I followed the guidelines here and here with no luck. Lastly I tested the headset with the receiver on my personal laptop and on my friend's PC it returned sound for roughly 5 seconds and then the problem came back with the same results (loop + speaker switching) felt like a malfunctioning. Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue?

Looks like problem with USB dongle.
I'd do a warranty return to the place where you bought them.
I have exactly the same issue since this week.
My Razer Synapse Software (or the Headset) was installing an Update during I was gaming, since this update I have this connectionloss after a few minutes.

Don't looks like an Hardware problem to me.

Fun Fact: I bought my Razer Nari Ultimate exactly one year ago and next week is black friday. Maybe the want me to buy a new one 😛

If it happened after Synapse update, you can try to do Synapse clean reinstall:

  • Remove Nari USB dongle before starting

  • Uninstall Synapse
  • Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
  • Then restart your PC
  • After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).
  • Connect Nari dongle

Also there's been some issue with Riot Vanguard software, sometimes it helps to uninstall or reinstall this - if your headset or other peripheral is not detected in Synapse.

I tried this steps and after reinstalling synapse is updating the dongle software i guess. The Problem remains, maybe the update has a bug?

It installs proper dongle/headset driver again (not the internal dongle firmware).
You can also try your headset on other PC without installing Synapse - it should work - if not there might be some issue with the dongle itself.

You've mentioned about connection loss after few minutes - this may be also caused by other wireless devices in the environment (devices that are operating at 2.4GHz frequency as Bluetooth devices, Wifi devices). If you have possibility - change your 2.4GHz channel on home Wifi router.

Also when the headset got disconnected - you only hear the headset beeping (for connection loss or low battery)? Or connect/disconnect sound in Windows?
Unfortunately i cannot change the frequency of my wifi router which is next to my pc, but that was not a problem the last year.
I alsot tried the headset with my laptop on the same table. It worked perfectly. (no synapse)

So i deinstalled synapse on my PC and tried it, the problem was the same.

To me it looks like the dongle is losing connection to the PC and trying to reconnect all the time.

Thanks for your help 🙂
I also got this same issue after using the headset for around 1 year
This happened to me recently, my Nari Ultimate is just over a year old, and I have been trying to get razer to look into this, and I keep getting new Service Agents and getting the same solutions from each of them, and their solutions are the same as the solutions from the website. No solution has worked. Synapse also had an update a few days ago, but nothing has helped. I have sent a screen recording of the issue to razer, but nothing has resulted from this. This has ruined the last few weeks of playing for me as the frustration and time consuming attempts to fix do not work.
Lmao, happened to me yesterday. Bought Razer Nari Ultimate EXACTLY 1 year ago for New Year's Eve, and... after 365 days the headset decided that they do not want to connect to the dongle normally. I tried all the different methods but none seem to solve the issues.

It really seems like Razers wants us to buy a new pair after using the old one for a year. Looks like a conspiracy theory.
i am now having the same issue.

I have recieved an email that they are willing to check my headset, or I can buy a new headset and get a refund for my current one. I have been looking all over their website and I don't think that the Nari is still in production. Looks like the Xbox version is the only one left on their site. I am not sure that I want to get my current one repaired, plus I don't know if I want to purchase another from them. If I purchase a new one I feel like the same thing will happen.
