Razer Synapse 3 causing Fullscreen Games to Minimise without warning

Using a program called Focus Logger

I have determined that Razer synapse 3 is causing Full screen Games to be pulled out of focus, while in a gaming session, and minimize instantly to desktop, without warning.

It can happen after 5 minutes of gaming, or 10 minutes.

Focus Logger tells me its the folder location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Synapse3\WPFUI\Framework\Razer Synapse 3 Host and points to Razer Synapse 3.exe.

Is there anyway to stop synapse from doing this, would a full uninstall/reinstall  help here?

Is there an issue with windows 11 and synapse?

Started happening to me this week. Complete incompetence by Razer. I have all Razer stuff, headset, keyboard, mouse, webcam…. thought it was good to keep it managed all in one place.

This needs to be fixed, you provide expensive products FIX YOUR CODE!

Its beyond incompetence.  Its infuriating.  This thread is more than a year old!

Hello everyone! I had the same issue for several months, and I reinstalled Windows every week until I reinstalled without installing Synapse 3 for my headset. Now I have to use a headset instead of speakers for work and games again, but I'm afraid installing Synapse 3 will minimize games… I really don't want to reinstall Windows again.
The bug is still here, isn't it?

I haven’t had to uninstall Synapse, I’m able to just exit the app and it won’t minimize my game and restart it when I want to use it with no issue.  It only seems do it with games that have intrusive anti-cheat.

If anyone else has this problem I would just reccomend unistalling the app until the next update.

I had this same problem, begun a few days ago, no idea why. Full screen games randomly go back to desktop. A focus logger says the focus goes to Razer Synapse from the game. Updating synapse and disabling notifications in its settings made the problem go away, at least for now... I think razer should really fix their notifications thingy if that’s what caused this. It’s a real hazard you are playing in a competition and then the game disappears in middle of a fight because of something as trivial as a mouse driver being bad. This bug was bad enough I’d move to firmware settings and totally uninstall everything razer related, but then I’d lose the keyboard RGB settings which are not stored to firmware and the default rainbow effect is really bad with coloured key caps.  :C

I can confirm also disabling notifications temporarily fixes the problem.

I was too early.  The fullscreen game disappearing thingy happened again,  it’s just less frequent now after disabling Synapse notifications, but it still happens sometimes. I realized that the new Windows Lightning Control feature in win11 can control the razer keyboard RGB without having any razer stuff installed (it actually does it better as the color is restored even before logging-in, at an earlier point of booting up.) So yay for Microsoft. Also the mouse has on-board memory. So now I have a working mouse and a keyboard without having Synapse installed anylonger, and the games losing focus thing should be fully “fixed” if Synapse was always the cause.
