Razer Synapse 3 causing Fullscreen Games to Minimise without warning

rdalcroft

Using a program called Focus Logger

I have determined that Razer synapse 3 is causing Full screen Games to be pulled out of focus, while in a gaming session, and minimize instantly to desktop, without warning.

It can happen after 5 minutes of gaming, or 10 minutes.

Focus Logger tells me its the folder location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Synapse3\WPFUI\Framework\Razer Synapse 3 Host and points to Razer Synapse 3.exe.

Is there anyway to stop synapse from doing this, would a full uninstall/reinstall  help here?

Is there an issue with windows 11 and synapse?

I fixed it.

You need to uninstall Razer Synapse.  I used Revo uninstaller to make sure I removed everything.

Then restart your PC.

Once restarted, Down load synapse again.  Install it.

Once installed, open synapse, click on the little Cog/gear icon on the top right.

Uncheck Notifications.

Now you should have zero issues with games minimising.

Is there a way to contact Razer about this? I love the Razer products but if this doesnt get a fix quickly i don’t know if I am still gonna be using Razer products in the future. It is designed for gaming and it shuts down the primary thing that you need for a game, a full screen….

It helps if you just close all the synaps related softwares in the task manager but my RGB lighting stops as well...

Started happening to me this week. Complete incompetence by Razer. I have all Razer stuff, headset, keyboard, mouse, webcam…. thought it was good to keep it managed all in one place.

This needs to be fixed, you provide expensive products FIX YOUR CODE!

i had the same issue. the reinstall did not work for me. i was using razer since 2014.

Now i switched to logitech for my headset keyboard and mouse.

I don’t have the time or will to deal with this problems.

It is the same for me too. Tried install and uninstall, all other options and nothing works. The only way is to close all razer apps. Coming from Logitech to Razer seems a bad trade...

I fixed it (sort of). The issue is (for me) with the razer software sending notifications! This even happens with the ‘how are you finding the app’ type ones.

I can’t 100% remember where it was but go into the app and just process any notifications that are there and i’v been free of the drop outs ever since!

If anyone else has this problem I would just reccomend unistalling the app until the next update.

This also occurs in my windows 11 pro 22h2

It occurs all the time in The Division 2 and in Fortnite. I was manually shutting apps down to find the culprit and when I shut this off Minimizing stopped.

Happening with mine too. I was such a fan but lately.. I dunno. My Deathadder V3 Pro had scroll issues first 3 months, and now, whenever I press Capslock, the game minimizes. What a let down.

This is terrible :( My games are minimizing by themselves and the focus logger I’m using confirms the apllication mentioned above by Sunnyautopark200 is indeed the culprit.

I have lodged a ticked but I know there is nothing anybody from Razer can do until the next build is released.

I also reninstalled Razer Synapse as suggested and disabled notifications. If this does not resolve the issue I will try logging in as guest.

Yesterday I installed new Razer Synapse Beta and I’m trying, for the moment no alt-tab issue

I can confirm also disabling notifications temporarily fixes the problem.

I too am having this issue, after fixing it with the games it's still causing discord to crash.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling discord and is far as my testing goes Discord isn't the issue It's razor synapse. I can't figure out how to fix it. I've tried repairing, uninstalling, disabling certain features. Nothing seems to work

I am on Windows 11 as well. I can only keep Discord from crashing if I stop all services from razor. But then I can't use synapse, so I'm kind of torn here

Also, thanks for the suggestion on how to fix it with the games that worked for me

This started again,  I have to “exit all apps” in order for my games not to exit full-screen.

I have notifications / overlays / the works turned off.

Please work with microsoft to fix this!

Just disable the notifications in settings and should fix the issue
