Razer Synapse 3 Chroma Profiles Not Working or Switching | Razer Insider

Hello,

I have Razer Synapse 3.8.930.91517 (latest as of 9/26/23) installed and have multiple Chroma Profiles installed that I like to use from time to time. I have the Chroma Connect, and Chroma Studio modules installed. When I am not playing a game I can get the profiles to work by manually switching them in the Synapse 3 software but cannot get them to switch in any other way, shape or form. When I am playing a game, none of the profiles work at all and the keyboard and mouse are dark. As soon as I switch back to Windows, the keyboard and mouse light up again. This makes it extremely difficult to use the peripherals in lower light conditions and I was wondering if anyone knows of a fix for this or if this is some kind of bug in the software? The only other fix that I am aware of after hours of searching is to switch OFF the Chroma Apps in the Connect Module but this does nothing at all for me. 

 

Any assistance would be very much appreciated as this is extremely frustrating for me.

I don’t have a solution or anything but a very similar problem happens to me with my Razer Naga X where anytime I change profiles, be it through the Synapse App, the mini app in the Windows taskbar, or via a mouse button that I had programed to shift to a different profile, it disconnects the mouse (though the mouse is still lit up, it loses the lighting options from the current profile and goes back to default purple and is unresponsive).

I  could not get Synapse 3 to switch profiles either (Windows 11, never tried  on 10)

I uninstalled it and downloaded the Chroma Beta App. In that app is a link to download Synapse Beta. I could not find the link for that on the website that guides you to Synapse 3 instead. 

So I used Chroma Beta to download Synapse beta and then it wouldn’t even change colors through either app. So I uninstalled Chroma Beta, leaving Synapse beta installed. It works perfectly this way. I only have 1 device (Tartarus V2) so I don’t know anything about anything other than getting it to switch profiles and working as I intended.
