Screen Issue - Razer Blade 15 (2020)

Hi Razer Community,
I will describe the issue that I have with my Razer Blade 15 (Base Model) in quick points as following:

  • I bought a Razer Blade 15 (2019 Base Model) for my work on JAN 2020. (Specs: 2.6 Core i7, RTX 2060, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB Storage, MS WIN 10 Pro)


  • The laptop was performing properly until June 2020, when the monitor was turning into colored squares/pixels filling the whole screen sometimes or part of it. (PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS)


  • I contacted Razer Support, and went thru a long and thorough troubleshooting process (including removing the drivers (in safe mode), reinstalling them, updating the Intel Drivers, connecting to an external monitor, playing with the NVIDIA Control Panel settings by following the Razer support team's instructions). Big Thanks to Razer Support Team.


  • Unfortunately the issue didn't resolve and they asked me to ship the the unit back so they can change the problematic hardware part.


  • As I am using the laptop for my business, I was not able to return it thru Razer and wait for a long time for them to repair the unit. Therefore, I decided to buy the same model but the 2020 edition. Everything is similar in terms of specs except the GPU is upgraded to RTX 2070.


  • The surprise is that the issue is still exist in the new Razer, and now I am hopping that this is a software issue, since the new laptop is behaving the same way.


My question: Has anyone had this issue before? If yes, how have you dealt with it? What was your experience, and what is your recommendation to get it resolved.

Your informative response toward resolving this issue will be highly appreciated.

Usually artifacts is hardware related but seeing you have 2 different units it might be software related. Try use other windows version like older one since I heard latest 2004 build has some incompatibility issue yet with nvidia drivers. I might be wrong but worth to try imo.

The current windows version is 1909. While I am searching, I found that most of the artifacts issues are hardware related as you said. I am really not sure if I will keep the device.
