THX Spatial Audio Output mode changes depending whether the app is minimized or not

So I have a problem with my Blackshark v2, running on Windows 11 64 bit. I set "other applications" to Stereo in spatial audio settings and also added Spotify manually and set it to Music mode. Now what happens is when Spotify window is active (on foreground), it runs in Music mode, as expected. However, if I were to alt tab, unfocus or minimize Spotify it changes to Stereo. And it's not just with Spotify, pretty much every other app exhibits the same behaviour. The only way to make it work is to change "other applications" EQ mode to whatever I need at the moment but this is terribly inconvenient. What can I do here? Things I tried: reinstalled synapse, created new profiles

I shot a very short video with sound that showcases the problem. When I alt-tab or alt-tab back in, you can clearly hear how the sound changes from Music to Stereo and then back. It stops changing when I select Music mode for "other applications" https://streamable.com/rza1br Looks like application specific sound profiles only work if the window is active but if it's not active then "other applications" settings take over.

Anybody with this problem?

It also happened when gaming, It is sad to know if you took time configuring the eq, mixer, etc, and then when you try it actual, you don't know if the sound was from your config or another default setting
