Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

I get this error in Device Manager now.

I bought the Cynosa v2 keyboard yesterday, plugged it in and installed the software. All the keys were lighting up a dim blue with nothing else, and the keys were not working; nothing would type. I checked for solutions and tried the holding down ESC, Cap Lock, & Spacebar and plugging it in the pc. The colors all came up wonderfully, but it would still not type. I rebooted the computer and now the keyboard doesn't even light up. I checked Device Manager and it says Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). When I remove the keyboard that goes away, so I know that error is for the keyboard. I uninstalled it and re-installed, no change, same error. Any thoughts?

Yes it is as stated in my opening paragraph:
"I checked Device Manager and it says Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). When I remove the keyboard that goes away, so I know that error is for the keyboard."

right click on it and update it and do a manual update

  • brows my computer for driver
  • Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

and find any driver from razer version i suggest use 2016 version

Picking from the list of available drivers still lists the item as Unknown USB Device. Where can I find individual keyboard drivers to download? All I get for download options are Synapse and Cortex. The support page for the Cynosa V2 keyboard doesn't have anything listed in its Drivers & Downloads section.
Any other thoughts anybody?
