Hi All,

I recently bought a Blade 17 (2022) and so far I am in love with this machine. Now, I wanted to increase the storage and was looking to add an additional SSD in the open slot. Now, the specs mention that both PCIe and SATA SSDs are supported but, I added the following SSD to the slot but Windows 11 failed to detect it.

I have attached the snapshot of the SSD and it is a B + M Slot SSD. Let me know if there are specific requirements of the slot. Maybe I am lacking proper knowledge of the SSD formats and so am looking for someone to help with it.

My SSD is already formatted to NTFS and has data on it from when I used it as an additional SSD on my previous machine.

Try running a recovery image to the new SSD. You can follow the steps here on how to create a system recovery stick. If that didn't help, PM me the serial number so I can look for other workarounds to help you address this issue. I will lock this thread to curb our conversation privately.
