wolverine v3 pro lacks synapse and steam support and the provided app is bare minimum.

Let’s start with the basics, overall wolverine v3 pro  is one of the best pro controllers on the market, hardware wise I have nothing bad to say.
Now with the negatives, the controller app razer provides lacks features, such as macro support or keybinds for the additional buttons ( synapse integration would be a huge plus ) Imagine having to install a separate app for each razer device.
Another thing, and the most important I might add, the paddles and the additional bumpers are not seen by any apps, or steam input so you can’t bind them outside the Razer controller app, so you are basically stuck with an xbox controller, ( as windows sees it ), we need a driver/ firmware to make those extra buttons visible on PC.
Don’t brick such a good controller just because of the software that can be easily changed.

Agreed, hardware wise the controller is great, but why do I need to enable steam input in order to play a game on the largest game management system?  Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of fast inputs?  When you just have a 3rd party have to translate the inputs?

I’m a little late to the party, but this was the first issue I bumped into trying to remap in steam. Natively, the controller is only recognized as a standard xbox controller. So the backpaddles and extra shoulder buttons aren’t recognized as unique buttons. This sucks.

It’s a real shame, the quality feels great. But I’m sending it back right away due to the lack of this, given it’s premium price.

I dunno what you guys are talking about. Personally, I hate having a huge bulky app for every single peripheral i own because, unfortunately, I don't stick to one brand. I have lian li software to control my fan and AIO lights, asus aura for my mobo lights, hyperx ngenuity for my keyboard, lg hub for my mouse, corsair icue for my ram, and now the BLOATED synapse that you won’t use 90% of?

I find ways to not have to install the proprietary software…

TL:DR From the windows store, install Razer Controller Setup For Xbox. Its a tiny, simple program that lets you configure the ENTIRE CONTROLLER down to dead zones on hall effect sticks, lighting, rounded or analog stick movement, and you can assign EVERY extra button to ANY KEY you want…

So i dunno what you are complaining about, I love not having to install this huge app made for 50 devices when I have a controller with a single 2 inch RGB. the windows store app lets you control every single thing so you aren't limited or “bricking” your controller/.

I don’t really get what you’re trying to say, all we’re “complaining” about is the basic support to remap the backpedals to keyboard keys in Steam.

Bottom line, the controller build quality is great. The software support not so, very lackluster in remapping capabilities in steam. It’s only recognized as a basic controller without backpedals. For a premium price, we expect at least basic support.

By now I already got refunded, maybe I'll get it back when this piece of hardware is updated. But reading the reddit forums on Razer, I’m not expecting it anytime soon.

Not sure what you mean by “ANY KEY you want” when it only let’s your reassign to… other buttons on the controller. I bought it so I could have a 22 button controller instead of the normal 16 buttons, and rebind the extra keys to additional PC functions (Like push to talk, etc)

Literally wtf is the point of being able to rebind a paddle button to function as the B button? I already have a B button on the controller, why TF would I need another?

For the Xbox elite controller you also only get a bare minimum app, but at least you can rebind the backbutton trough steam input.

But for the Wolverine there is no pc support at all (not even with steam input), you can only bind those key to other controller keys, but they are not being recognized as independent buttons.

Just tried everything out and stumbled on this post. Got my wolverine v3 today and sending it back today, for this premium price the support way too limited, there are much cheaper controllers with more functionality and also hall effect sensors.

I canceled my wolverine v2 pro order just because it lacks synapse support. I preasumed that it supports its own damn software but no. I get that it is designed for tournaments in mind and all that but come on… Seriously now, how many of you are buying this for the tournaments…

Razer REALLY needs a non-tournament edition Wolverine which supports Synapse. it would break sale records. I’m gonna stick to my 8btdo controller until they do.
