Dances with Key Binds: A Tragicomedy Starring Me, Synapse, and the Elusive Hypershift

Hello,

dear friends and fellow gamers, allow me to weave you a tale about my trusted sidekicks, the Huntman Mini and the Deathadder V2. Our saga begins with me, the hopeful hero, and my eternal foe: the rigidity of Synapse. We've been dancing around each other, engaged in a thrilling tango of tech where I'm constantly hoping I'm just missing a step rather than facing the cold reality that Synapse may be a less flexible partner than I had hoped.

You see, I had a dream. A dream of binding a switch key that, upon being pressed, would switch with the grace of a ballet dancer between two pages of key binds, just as Hypershift does. But, alas, the harsh light of reality shone on my dream:

  • Synapse, the ruthless adversary, didn't let me modify the pre-existing Hypershift binds. These binds, let me tell you, are about as useful in-game as a chocolate teapot, and pose a veritable obstacle course of unintended actions. Oh, you thought pressing Hypershift whilst moving forward would provide a strategic advantage? Nope, congratulations! You're now an accidental DJ, cranking up the volume when you least expect it, instead of leveling up in the game.

  • My next plan of attack was to create my own Hypershift page, my fortress of custom key binds! I can't create my own hypershift page either because Synapse doesn't allow it...

  •  And as for profile switching, there's no way to make it function like hypershift, which activates when held down. The only similar option I've found is the sensitivity clutch, but that's not really related.

  • I also can't edit the file that contains hypershift exported by Razer because it is in ".synapse3" format.

What I want to bind is incredibly simple:
Input "KEY1" = output "KEY1"
Input "Shift+KEY1" = output "KEY2"

I sincerely hope I'm mistaken because if Synapse does not allow to perform a simple function such as A+B=C, it's quite alarming for, GAMING tool…

Please forgive me if I sound like I've lost the plot – honestly, I just lost my patience upon discovering the Bermuda Triangle of uneditable and encrypted “.synapse3” files.
