Razer and it's incompetency with it's own software.

After being an advocate of Razer for about 4 years now, owning a Razer headset and mouse, and talking to my friends and family about how good they are (even getting them to buy products from Razer), I give up. I can't handle what feels like daily problems with its software. It started with just minor inconveniences of my Razer audio playback device randomly switching to another playback device. Then it turned into my audio just not working entirely while using THX spatial - Synapse, and having to scour the internet to find this random guy's code that I have to run to fix it. Yes, this random Razer user helped me more than any official Razer page.

In the last few months, I thought it was all "good." I still have to uninstall Synapse sometimes because stuff just stops working, like games not showing up in the "game profiles" section. But yesterday takes the cake. I updated Razer Synapse, and my entire audio playback system just vanishes. Poof! Yes, a multi-million dollar tech and audio industry posts an update that deletes your audio system. How does a company so large just post literal malware as an update to millions of people who PAY for these products? Not only do they gate keep the software but make the people's lives who buy it miserable. "FOR SCHMUCKS. BY SCAMMERS.™"

I’m probably a fringe case but Synapse about 5 months ago decided to spontaneously remove all of my audio drivers and f%@$ up my system to the point where I needed to do a clean reinstall of Windows.  Only once mind you, but between that and the newest Synapse problems that have broken the THX Spatial Audio for a huge percentage of Razer headset users, I’m shocked that I haven’t jumped ship already.  If they don’t have a Synapse fix rolled out by or on Friday, I’m jumping ship to a new headset series and never looking back.  It’s sad, honestly
