Thanks for pointing that out! It's the same in ZoneAlarm!
So this is something the Synapse Software does and the Antivirus reacts on that.
Makes the software even more suspicious.

LOL no dought!

Anyone experiencing this issue with Synapse while using McAfee and 1903? I am running my cable provided "multi-access" version. If this problem is tracking along similar lines with McAfee installed I would be interested to know.

do you use razer softminer? that is known for lagging computers and stuff.

I think I might have found it, I have Acronis 2019 that automatically install acronis active protection for ransomware. When it's turned on the Razer process goes to 15% constantly and high cpu power. I turned it off and the razer process went to below 1% and the CPU power dropped from 3.3Ghz to 1Ghz. Synapse reacted normally. Turned Active Protection back on and the CPU usage went back up and the app began to freeze again. Turned it off and it returned to normal. I'll e-mail support as well but Razer may want to speak to Acronis as it may be that their app is being treated as ransomware in 1903 as opposed to 1809.

You are a star, I've been banging my head against a wall trying to find what causes this.

Now it's fixed

It was also freaking out at my Tobii eye tracker too

July 26, 2019-KB4505903 (build OS 18362.267) now has significantly lower CPU load and program latency. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4505903/windows-10-update-kb4505903

Is there a final word on this? Are you saying the problem is gone? Or just that it's improved but still there. I am reluctant to pull the trigger on 1903 but that day is coming regardless of what I want.

for me it works 100%, the program works without jerking and freezes now, CPU load jumps no more than 5%
