Synapse 3 Mac OS X Support

Userlevel 4
It would be great if we could get some traction on adding support Mac OS X for Synapse 3. I just purchased my Blackwidow Elite and would like to use it for work too which is Mac. I am disappointed there isn't cross platform support, will there ever be cross platform support or should return my keyboard for another?

Are newer devices also compatible with Synapse 2?

I really expected more from Razer. Come on guys. Mac is the new platform of choice. Get with it.

Yeah I gave up on Razer. I have the new ProBook with the M1 chip and I was using the Tartarus for productivity work in 3D softwares on my PC but I have now switched to ZSA Moonlander keyboard on both machines. Way more expensive but super happy with them 🙂
I just received my Viper Ultimate and can barely use it on my Mac running OS 12.4. The least they could have done is mentioned this in the product specs/requirements. I wouldn't have bothered. I guess it's time to return it?

... I would have loved to know this before paying for it. well in any case back to best buy it goes, and I will get Logitect product. always good value.

really disappointed that they did not feel that they could spend a bit on the Mac platform, I develops software on mac system and making Synapse 3 should be an easy port in any case figure out some 20k$ more or less.

In any case back to best buy I go. returning my first and LAST Razer product.
Hi there,

I can't have my Razer Naga Pro fully working on Mac OS Monterey because Synapse 3 has no support for Mac.
Fortunately I can use BT connection and use it as a standard mouse, however I can't set hotkeys, which is the main reason for me to have a mouse such like that.

I am very disappointed that a product such as this one come with no compatibility for Mac users. I should have stick to the Logitech G604 which had all these functions properly working...

There is a solution
Connect the mouse to a windows computer with Synapse 3 installed.
Then install hotkeys as you want.
It will work when connecting back to macos

Razor makes my favorite gaming peripherals, but I finally gave up waiting for Razer to support Mac. Somehow Logitech, Corsair, and other vendors can all figure out how to make configuration software & drivers for current versions of MacOS. I regretfully gave away my 3 Razer mice plus an Orbweaver to my son who uses Windows for his high school.

FWIW, I bought some new hardware, and can confirm SteelSeries mice and its iCue config software works great under Ventura.

If Razer gets their act together regarding Mac, I'll come back to the brand. But I'm not holding my breath.
Sad story, sold my Basilisk Ultimate, bought SteelSeries, returned it, bought Logitech, have it unboxed on my desk, bought OrochiV2. I'm in love with it on both MacOS and Windows. Parallels could not handle the Synapse v3 in order for me to configure the DPI switch to a random key, did this on my Windows laptop, yet I don't feel confident because on WinOS it fails to pair using the Bluetooth so that I could check if any configuration is being possible via Synapse v3 in BT mode. On the other hand, the usual problems on MacOS without Synapse - Back/Forward keys are not being recognised in World of Warcraft for example as keys, at all. There's no complete happiness.
Hi Razer Team...
sorry don't want to wake you... this discussion is been going on for years. Not that you found a solution for it, but you don't even take a stand to the topic. Isn't it sad to read brands like Logitech, Steel Series or Corsair in this thread? Yes? No? Or do you just don't give a shit? Well I wish you very much success with more pink Kraken Kittys, apparel collections and things that really matter.

Up To Date, current RAZER peripheral primary focus is towards "gaming".

Apple needs to level up the playing field.

Fingers crossed they will bring us back in the loop someday. I can't imagine its a hard task to make a MacOS driver, i'm so confused as to why they wouldn't roll out with this stuff with every update?!
Just switched to a Logitech G815 and G502 X keyboard and mouse, sadly leaving behind my Razer equivalents. Swore I'd never go back to Logitech after their mice developed the double-click failing on me, but here I am. I will miss my Basilisk, but at least Logitech hardware and software is made available and supported on Mac.
When will we see Razer synapse 3 on MacOS and why isn't it already a thing? I'm not talking about the chroma part and light managing side, I'm talking about the shortcuts switching automatically when you switch programs

i love razer,i also have a lots of davices of razer for my pc,but i love my macbook too! so i wanna they work well on mac please!

Disappointing, looks like my Deathadder V2 X Hyperspeed on Macbook M1 is as useful as mouse for 10EUR, Synapse 2.0 is not supporting this mouse model on mac. I wish I knew it earlier, I would have bough Logitech.

For real.  The fact that Apple is more than ¼ of the market and growing and Razer is just fully ignoring those users is insane to me.  All they’re doing is making sure apple users spend their money somewhere else.  It's just so dumb.

Concur, Apple needs to level up the gaming capabilities. Regardless, I guess my M2 Pro Mini, which can play any games I want on max graphics and maintain over 100fps, doesn’t qualify me as a “gamer.” Too bad for me that I want to be able to do my work on my Mac, which is more user friendly and runs more smoothly than any PCs I’ve used, and then use Razer’s awesome peripherals to play some games when all the work is finished. I guess just because I’m not a PC loyalist and don’t care to play YOUR preferred AAA games I shouldn’t be allowed to access all of the features built into my Basilisk V3 Pro, eh?

I agree that Apple needs to make a bigger effort to participate in the gaming community, but what’s more relevant to this thread is that RAZER needs to understand that their primary focus should not be towards “gaming,” it should be toward CUSTOMERS who like to game. Period. “No further explanation required.”

I have owned around 5 Razer mice, 4 Razer keyboards over the years and several Razer headsets. I am one day out of my mouse return date and just got my new Blackwidow TKL. I use both PC and Mac computers. Now I find out that Razer has f’d over Mac users. Last Razer products I will ever own.

Razer what is going on? I love your products and just recently got a Basilisk V3 and now find that I can't configure it the way I want because I'm a Mac user.

Unfortunately it doesn't work via Parallels over Windows for ARM either. Then give us the opportunity to offer a good macOS software.

We all support you as a company and buy your products.

When will Razer Synapse 3 be supported on Mac OS??? I do not own a Windows machine! :-(

How can you ignore so many opinions and complaints?

I bought razer products because the razer described that you support configuration software (synapse 2) for MacOS. But you just notice  last year that you don’t support it anymore. You didn't give a convincing reason, you stopped without asking the consumer for understanding, or making future promises.

Are you deceiving the consumer?
This is a case that can be sued as a group for false advertising or non-compliance with promises.

Synapse doesn’t work well at all on Windows machines.  You want it to be broken on 2 operating systems?  Just saying… 🤷
