Synapse 3 Mac Support

Userlevel 4
I just purchased the huntsman elite keyboard for my mac, I was going to use it mainly for my job as a developer, and I had no clue when I made the decision to buy huntsman elite that mac is not supported.

My question, After the latest thread about the mac support (a year ago), will synapse 3 be available for mac users in the near future? if not, I have no choice but to return the keyboard.

Note: I know that mac is not a gaming machine, but there is a wide variety of people that tends to buy gaming accessories now for their home office setups (chairs, keyboards, mouses ...) so it would be nice to support mac users for the next-gen devices that you are producing ...

I edit feature films with razer on mac and would LOVE to recommend it to my colleagues in film and TV. The hardware, imo, is the best out there. But we need synapse 3 for Mac! Please razer, get this out so I can stop sending my fellow editors to Logitech! I'm increasingly tempted to switch myself but am still holding out hope that you will listen to your customer base.
It was something I took for granted when I bought into this ecosystem. No current MacOSX support? Seems odd.. Oh I see steelseries does offer this. Bye!

I am sorry for the late response, however as far as I am aware, there are currently no plans to support Synapse 3 on Mac.

Why people really need it too I bought a mouse and now I can not use it on my laptop (macOS)
This is unbelievable. Looks like I will also have to return my Blackwidow (which I really liked). @ Razer, if you are reading this, please develop the synapse 3 for Mac.
I have Kraken ultimate, Naga Trinity, and Chroma mat ... I can't even open them in razer synapse. Not sure what to do 😞
tried to custom in a windows vm, didnt go very well. think they should make it clear that Mac isnt supported wasted my money presuming it was. major companies always support windows/mac?
Razer please add Synapse 3 for Mac support, it isn't even that hard too change the code just to run on Mac. With the new apple silicon out, many people are using their Macs for gaming as it's more powerful and all Mac users with Razer products aren't able to use them to its full capability. Razer, please this one thing for the community.
Bro, im bored with this situation. My girlfriend give me a Deathadder Essencial on my birthday, and I was to excited to work with this on my MacBook. Until I get stucked with Synapse 3 don't have support on MacOS. Bro?

What kind of company, mainly this size, does not support the main systems?

Please! Do something Razer! Its not big at all, but its SO frustrating.
Razer's obviously sleeping in class on this one. All these threads are not gonna change dime, they've had time. End of day they will be pushing away and alienating their Mac segment. Look back 20 years and ask yourself, are more people using Macs and have gaming become better on Macs? It's a yes to both.

Obviously it's not gonna break their business if the only value you care about is $$ at the bottom line, but giving crap about their macOS users will hurt them and their image going forward. They've been stalling for ages on what would happen instead of just being clear from the beginning, keeping us all in the dark and hoping. It's not like they are building rockets or a new OS. Let's be honest, they are building a driver (and some management software). They easily have the means to get a driver working on macOS. You even see opensource projects coming to the rescue though for Mac they are still far.

So all in all the decision is *very* questionable, but there's nothing we can do about it except look for a good alternative mouse and try and get a descent price for the old one and then let people know what kind of company Razer is, one that places the user last.
No support for DeathAdder V2 on Mac as well. That's just pathetic as countless of people uses Mac these days.

Update!!! I have contacted Razer support recently and they told me that MacOS support for synapse 3 is under way!
Just switched from Logitech since I liked the Blackwidow keys more but super bummed I won't be able to customize since the Blackwidow elite uses Synapse 3 and is not compatible with mac OS :slightly_sad: Can they come out with Synapse 3 for mac or at least update the Synapse 2 mac driver to support these keyboards with no macOS option???
a synapse 2 update for compatibility with big sur OS would be nice too :frown_:
i just want to be able to use macros and change lights in my keyboard o_O
It's incredible that they don't upgrade to give the same benefits to the minority and focus more on the majority of consumers. It leaves us a bad taste of Razer.

Another vote for Mac (inc M1) support for Razer Synapse and products.
ANYONE can create Mac software, you do not have to pay Apple tons of money for this at all
This is on Razer not Apple
(and I have 10+ razer products so I would LOVE them to work correctly on my Mac)
No Mac support sucks. Totally. I bought one of the Naga wireless; it's a great mouse. But I can't calibrate it for a wood surface; I can't do any of the things Synapse offers, which is a big part of the reason you buy it.

SteelSeries looks like the way to go. Sorry Razer, you lost me here. I was considering your keyboard. It looks like I'm going for the Logitech keyboard and SteelSeries mouse and returning your product, which Synapse 2 doesn't even detect.

What a shame. But it looks like Razer isn't a champion at all anymore.

In the end, I settled on the high-end Logitech gaming mouse and mechanical keyboard. Sorry Razer, but I wouldn't even buy your products for Windows. Any company that would pull the rug out from so many of its customers isn't a company I care to do business with.

I will make the same recommendation to everybody I know.
I wonder if Razer is aware of game theory in business with respect to a finite versus an infinite game. Will they still exist as a business in the future? We shall have to wait and see.

I sold my BlackWidow and NAGA and put the money towards the Corsair K70 and NightSword. Corsair is one of Razer's competitors and the K70 and NightSword are equal/similar devices that have a similar price point. They have developed iCUE software to work with Macs. After doing some research and learning more about the differences in devices and support between Razer and Corsair, I wish I had purchased Corsair devices in the first place.

It will provide a better experience in mac though it will surely available one day

No plan to support Mac Os, too bad, after a long year of using Razer mice it's time to look elsewhere. It is well known that SteelSeries devices are fully supported by Windows and Mac Os !

We know Apple deliver great products
and I am sorry if I offend / hurt any Apple users, fans, enthusiasts

Care to join Windows?

As what @Jenjar have posted RAZER have no plans to support Synapse 3 on Mac

But who knows if things change, but would you wait years for that change to occur?

So your solution is that I scrap my $2000 Imac, buy or build a widnows machine, in order to get a couple of Razer products that together maybe cost $250. Wow, what an absolutely wonderful solution. How about Razer supporting their products??
Before attacking Razer or other developers for not working with Apple products, please take not on the operating system you are dealing with. Apple is well known to pick and choose who they work with and it usually comes down to a dollar figure. As of October 2020 I can no longer print to any HP device without jumping through 10 or so error messages saying that my print drivers may be a potential virus. This is not a Razer issue. They have synapse 3 for mac. But do you think for one minute Apple will work with with them unless they fork over some cash? How many times have you updated your mac OS just to find your peripherals stop working?

In other words.... why are you upset with Razer and not with Apple?

This is amazing. I just bought my kraken kitty because I use to do some streams with my readers (i'm a writer).

Thank you so much, Razer!

That's not the point. I'm the end user and I don't care how the relations between Apple and Razer are. I just don't give a shit about that.
I pay for the product to do my job and it is Razer responsibility to solve problems with Apple or any Hardware/software companies.

RAZER understands all Apple MacOS users frustration.

As per attached from a supports message, Synapse for MacOS is underway, we do not hold / have the information on when it will be released. So do stand by.

Also, if RAZER did not cared for MacOS users they would have not made a product that is dedicated to both Windows and MacOS users.

Hopes are still on the rise~~~

Does Razer Kraken Kitty edition works on Macbook air 2019?

Good news: It will work as a generic USB headset.
Bad news: Neither the Streamer app nor the Synapse 3.0 drivers are available for Mac. This means you won’t be able to change the lighting or use other advanced features until Razer releases the Mac software.
