Synapse security concerns

Hello,

I have a couple of Razer devices.
However the company I am working on blacklisted the SW due to the article below from last year:

Would anyone know if the SW got patched to resolve that security issue?
I can't find SW control version on the website, so it is hard to tell if security issues are resolved.
