Can we select a static color without a dumb software and an account?

Do we have to create an account AND install synapse AND turn my keyboard over to type the serial to register so I can finally change the fricking static color? Is there any another way? I am hopeful. there must be another way because even $15 chinese ebay keyboards allow that.
