I keep getting this error after installing Synapse 4 and trying to run it for the first time.

I have tried many of the fixes I could find like disconnecting razer peripherals, using 7zip to unzip and then using the installer from the unzipped folder, run as administrator etc.

Any ideas?

okay so i just had this exact same problem and the only way i could get it to work is to go into the task manager and then head to the details section. when you get there you are gonna go to every razer service ( all of them not just the ones with “service” in the name) and right click then go to properties. a window should come up with different tabs at the top. click on the compatibility tab. some selection boxes should be at the bottom and you want to check the one that says run as administrator. hit apply and then ok. do that to all of them. for good measure i went and ended every razer process in the task manager too. then i went and right clicked the synapse app and ran it as administrator. then it works. now it seems if i want to open it again i have to end all the processes but at least you can get in and do what you need too.

I think the reason is your temp folder permission messed up so you dont need anything to do with services and apps turning off, all you need to do is got to your temp folder (press win+R, type %temp%) delete all the contents of your temp folder>then right click propertries>The security Tab>on the upper box on group or usernames click “Everyone” then press edit>Then tick all boxes below Permissions to Allow>Then click Apply and Ok and your done. Sometimes itll give you some error after clicking apply thats ok. Then open your Synapes 4 again that should solve your javascpript problem. Hope this helps.

For some reason you get the script problem again. Just repeat the steps above sometimes the windows permission reverts back to its original state idk the reason but it did happen to me couple of times.
