Over the past few months, I've encountered an issue with my Razer Kraken Kitty headset where it randomly disconnects for about 2-3 seconds, causing the audio to completely cutoff, then resumes as if nothing happened. This would happen irregularly, ranging from every 4-5 minutes to every 20 minutes. Initially, I suspected a problem with the USB connection, but when I tested this on my old laptop, it worked perfectly fine. I also found out that It would work better when I exited the synapse software entirely, but I would still occasionally experience some disconnections every couple of hours or so.
So, I’d uninstall and reinstall the driver, which worked for a little while, but the popping would eventually come back again. I have a pretty beefy computer with plenty of space, so I was really confused about what the issue could possibly be. So, after months of uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing the driver, updating everything, cleaning my USB ports, and all kinds of troubleshooting with no real answer, I thought it might’ve been a Windows 11 bug since my old laptop was running Windows 10 and didn’t have any issues. I tried contacting Windows for support but haven’t received any feedback.
Recently, I discovered that if I turned off "brightness" on the lighting tab in the Razer Synapse application, the disconnection/audio problem that I’ve been experiencing seemingly just disappeared! I don’t have an explanation for this and was wondering if I could get an answer since I'd still like to use the lighting effects on my headset.
If you have any other questions for me Lmk! Any feed back would be appreciated! :D
