Razer Synapse 3 - 7.1 Audio | Razer Insider

I know Razer is actively looking at these threads for feedback so here mine is. In the Nov 29th update they stated the following:

I can’t see the 7.1 channel configuration under the Speaker Setup Windows menu of the headsets / I don’t see the 7.1 surround calibrator on Synapse.

As part of embedding THX Spatial Audio into the headsets, it is now able to capture the channels earlier in the signal path and processes them BEFORE routing through the Windows Audio Architecture. This is why the 7.1 channel configuration is not visible here, even though it is working on the back end.

A future version of Synapse will come with an updated THX Spatial Audio surround calibrator, to allow users to customize their 7.1 audio by setting virtual speakers positions based on personal preferences.

After reading this, how will our applications and/or games know to output their 5.1 / 7.1 channel audio to your driver? Windows can see it only as Stereo and all of my games have greyed out the surround options since the original change and made them unusable.
