Razer Synapse and Other Software use too much system resources?

I downloaded the minimum amount of software driver programs yet there seems to be so many side applications running using what I believe to be an unnecessary amount of system resources. It’s stopping me from downloading Axon and Cortex because I can’t imagine running more than double what is now. Is it just me or is this a common issue?
