Synapse Beta not even detecting my device | Razer Insider

So having long since given up on the unmitigated dumpsterfire of Synapse 3, I view the new beta somewhat hesitantly. However I figured all should have a chance at redemption, so I install it and launch, and it somehow finds that yes I do have a Tartarus V2, but then simply stands there on “Detecting device”. Reboots, reconnects all of the usual seems to have no effect on this. It knows then the device is unplugged, as it immediately disappears, and when re-plugged it shows up straight away, and its stuck again in Detecting device.

It is on the list of supported devices, so I would at least have expected it to be detected, but apparently that was not to be.  Anyone have any ideas on this, or should I just give up on this “new and improved” synapse right away and save me the frustration?

Replying to myself here. It did not take long before this new version showed the same lack of quality as Synapse 3. Just installing it cause MW# and another older game to simply stop working. Both crashing on startup. I tried reinstalling the games, which made no difference, but uninstalling Synapse however solved the issues immediately. I don’t know why I though that maybe this time it would be different, despite all earlier evidence to the contrary

There was a time when Razer was a relatively highly regarded brand in the industry, that was back when they made products that actually worked. Unfortunately that has since been completely lost in the ever increasing hunger for profit. Now it is all fluff and no substance. Truly it is sad to see a company fall so far from grace.
