Synapse - unable to set keybinding

Hi,

(there is linked topic devices for Mac, this looks like automatical, but nope I am running it on windows and I have not linked it )

I have another problem with Synapse 3 with a combination of Tartarus Pro on Windows 10 - I have set up all the keys but I wanted to change one of the key (happening multiple times) and it simply does not store the new settings. There is no error, when I click save it “works” grey out like any other buttons but it does not set the new value for the button.
Currently on the button Switch keymap (specific) and I want macro instead.

Everything looks like any other button when saving but the new value is not shown on the picture of the keypad nor saved.

It does happened randomly for me other keys as well (lets say 5 percent ?) . Despite unable to set it up, I am still able to set up other buttons keymap etc.

Thank you

So tried to fix it via Synapse beta , synapse beta does not migrate profile (uff.. )
So tried back Synapse 3 - luckily have back profile
Still enable to set up things on my keymap , somehow still valid for some keys.

I had one with double functionality, sucesfully remove that. but still - at the same keymap cannot re-bind other keys

GOOD LUCK.

I had this issue and it was never fixed, then their tech support gave me instructions that ended up wiping out dozens of macros that took months to polish. Even after I voiced a concern that exact thing was going to happen!

Ended up having to go to beta and start all over again. And now I am having issues with macros not functioning the same when it comes to key holds, and nobody has been helping.

Same issue. Brand new keypad, and I can’t change the keybinds. Very frustrating.

Same here. Facing the same.

Me too, Razer Synapse has so many bugs, even version 4. I tried everything and now I just use my keypad for everything

As a matter of interest, not that anyone from Razer cares, they have your money; the binding works if you close the Synapse software down but then my keypad won’t work!!! FFS

Fix for Razer Tartarus Not Working Properly

If you're having issues with your Razer Tartarus and Razer support hasn’t been helpful, try this method:

Step-by-Step Solution

  1. Uninstall All Razer Software

    • Go to Control Panel > Programs & Features and remove all Razer software.
  2. Manually Delete Razer Folders

    • Navigate to both:
      • C:\Program Files\Razer\
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\
    • Delete the Razer folders in each location.
  3. Restart Your Computer

    • Ensures all changes take effect.
  4. Install Razer Synapse 4

    • Download and install Synapse 4 from the official Razer website.
  5. Use Guest Mode (DO NOT Log In to Your Razer Account)

    • When prompted to log in, select Guest Mode instead of signing in.
  6. Connect and Configure in the Correct Order

    • First, plug in the Razer Tartarus and wait for it to be recognized.
    • Remap all keys on the Tartarus before connecting any other devices.
    • Once the Tartarus is fully configured, then plug in the Razer Ornata Chroma (or any other Razer keyboard).
  7. Remap Keys on the Ornata Chroma (If Needed)

    • At this point, you should also be able to remap keys on the Ornata Chroma.

This method ensures that Synapse correctly detects and configures the devices without conflicts. Hopefully, it helps you too! If you run into issues, try repeating the steps exactly.
